The guy who voiced Goku didn't voice Wapol here, he's voiced by andy Mullin who also did the voice of Don Krieg if i'm not mistaken

I know that Sean Schemmel does Wapol in the 4kids dub (Schemmel being the voice of Son Goku), but I don't know about the Funimation dub. It sounds like him though.

alright. I found him. But what does he have to do with Wapol? Just because the two don't sound the same doesn't mean they're not done by the same actor? Nearly every source I've seen credits Sean with voicing 4kids Wapol.

Is it something besides Wikipedia, IMDb, AAN, or any other user-submitting database? 4Kids never credited OP voice actors with their specific characters; online credit lists, for the most part, are based of educated guesswork and speculation. In this case, that specualtion happens to be wrong.

Both are over-the-top Russian-esqe characters that sound nothing alike? Schemmel has a very distinctive voice, no matter what pitch or accent he uses; if it doesn't sound like him, it's likely NOT him.

isn't part of being a voice actor being able to disguise your voice if need be? haven't you ever heard a voice and when you found out the voice actor thought, "THAT'S who did his voice?!"

Certainly. Maybe that's why it's so surprising to imagine the voice of Zolo and Wapol being one and the same. :)

An actor can only use their voice as so many roles in so many shows before their unique vocal tics start to become apparent. Just listen to any clip of 4Kids Zolo when he's yelling and you'll hear the resemblance.
