I learned most of what I know in knitting with your videos. I am so accustomed to the sound of your voice and words, I feel I know you. Thank you, you are wonderful.
Thank you for refreshing my memory of this stitch and it is easier than the one I learnt over 38 years ago and had forgotten. Since then I have been searching and trying to get the right stitch but without success until I saw your video. I like the double layer look of this pattern. Thank you very much again for sharing.

This is a frustrating video. Your hands obscure most of the knitting so I can't see how you "knit deep." Also, you must start off with a row of knitting before the pattern, because there's no way to knit deep otherwise. Furthermore, for the third row when you're supposed to knit deep, I can't see where exactly to go because the weird stitching from the previous row makes it hard to find that deep knit spot. Lastly, you go WAY TOO FAST.
@abberz3589 I'm sure there are plenty of videos for your skill level if you're having trouble. I can see quite clearly, and it seems others who don't choose to be rude to someone trying to share their knowledge can see it clearly as well.
@abberz3589 Why so rude and unappreciative? I tried this once and got it right away. I think that you should be a little less insulting and a maybe a little more proficent at knitting!
I don't usually comment, but I wanted to tell you this was a fantastic video. Very easy to see what you were doing and you paused at all the right times to make a point. One of the best knitting tutorials I've seen!
Thank you for letting us see this lovely stitch. I usually just do plain knitting but maybe I could even manage this. It's lovely. Morag Walker Dundee Scotland
Well I am going to guess that she is Russian because of the style of knitting that she is doing. It is a russian way she is holding the needles and creating her stitches. Even the name of the stitch sounds russian
Saludos
Respond to this video... There is another easier way to do this stitch. Is very similar and is called also Honeycomb, but I don't think is the Brioche. The odd number rows you knit them the same way, but the even number rows you knit them all straight. "Esperosas" in Youtube teaches it. It is in Spanish, but the images are very good. Hope this helps someone.
I did exactly what I believe seing you do on a needle #8 with 10 stitches casted after 3 rows of purl, then- 1row) 2 knit, 1kdeep, 1k, 1kd, 1k, 1kd, 1k, 1kd, 1k. ...... 2r)2k, 1k under the yarn like you did show, 1k, 1ku,1k ,1ku.... to the end ...... 3r)1k, 1kd,1k, 1kd,1k...... 4r) like row 2, 1k, 1ku, 1k.... Then I repeated it all 3 times for a total of 12 rows. It does not look one bit like the final picture shown after your tutorial. Did I make a mistake? i am sad. Thank you anyway
@anteabuel On the wrong side/row 2 you work the "1ku" on the same stitch that you previously worked "1kd". From your description you worked these on the plain knit stitches.
Also, brioche stitches are much less dense, so how it looks depends on the needle size in proportion to the yarn weight you are using. For example, if you want your brioche to have roughly the same gauge as some stockinette, you need to go down in needle size.
Too many stitches on the needle, it makes the knitting too fast. Though it was well shown where to pick the yarn, a slower and less stitches would make this clearer. I have search for this teaching "honeycomb brioche" for years. So thank you so much.
Thank you so much for demonstrating this lovely stitch! I am new to Brioche knitting and am curious to know which cast-on used and set up row pattern. Thanks again!
