nice reverse psychological warfare..the part that was like a mockery was why not play buddhist chant on vesak day...well why not? play all religious stuff on their day of glory if mr chang wants it to be that way...dont have to emphasize on vesay day only...which majority race is with which religion...now that is race issue already...religion is also race related bro..so yep
@wednesdaysam point noted but i think the reason why mcdonalds played the call to prayer was because muslims have fasted all day and knowing that there are people who choose mcdonalds as a place to breakfast in singapore, i guess that's the main reason. it's less than 5 minutes, tops. regardless, i have no qualms if mcdonalds wanted to play all the religious related material. as long as it doesn't change to preaching, it's fine.
Alex can't be that dumb not to know that the azan is a call for muslims to break fast, even a christian priest would know that. This is a simple case of not filtering whats in your brain that comes out from your mouth. He probably posted that comment on impulse without thinking. Multi religion singapore have taught its citizens to respect one another, whether you are in favour or no. I dont think he only offended the muslims but i think he just threw away the chinese faces.

Honestly we live in a multi-racial country yet what we lack is the knowledge of each other religion. Alex ignorance is totally understandable but the way he delivered it was distasteful thus, the issue. I feel my Muslim peers anger but remember my friends, it is the Ramadhan month. Don't let anger consume and cloud our judgement. Instead of making fb pages to spread the hate, why not enlighten our friends of our religion. And zul wear a shirt next time, people fasting :P
