I dont know how true it is but i was told once that the walls of kaaba had lanat on 3 peoples name. And what ever happens the writing from Allah doesnt erase. And thats why when they change the cloth of kaaba they change it without opening the whole cloth. If u notice they are throwing the new cloth over the old one and covering it before taking the old one out.. It does make me think if its true. The 3 people i heard was Abu bakr. Omar and Othman. Same bricks as the prophet's (saw) time, but only the Hajar Aswad (black stone) is from the time of Ibrahim (as).

In the time of Ibrahim (as), the kaaba sharif was wider (the hatim area was inside it), but in the time of the prophet (saw) ... this was before his prophethood at 40years ... when rebuilding it, even the pagans respected the kaaba sharif enough to only use halal money. They didn't have enough halal money, hence the hatim area is outside. They also made the kaaba slightly taller.

kaaba is a stone idol that was worshipped by the Pagans. The pagans incoporated it into Islam along with the 5 prayers, standing and sitting. Muslims say that the kaaba is nothing and they only use it for a direction to prayer. If that is the case, then why not destroy this kaaba? This is all conjecture my friend. You have no proof to back this up. The pagans figured out a way to keep their rituals intact under the guise of Islam. This is not something new; the Christians did the same with Chrisitanity. It would be arrogant of us to assume the "Muslims" wouldn't corrupt Islam.
