Scientifically, the RYB are not a perfect set of subtractive primaries. It's the CMY. However RYB has been used for centuries by artists, and so we're kinda stuck with the RYB subtractive model. Aesthetically, though, RYB's kinda okay, but you lose out on some colors like Magenta and Cyan with RYB. Could we have a lesson based on the CMY?

It seems to be a common misconception that tertiary colours are represented between primaries and secondaries on the colour wheel. Actually tertiary colours are made from all 3 primaries, i.e. browns, greys, sap greens etc.). Red/orange, yellow/green etc are all still secondaries as they can be obtained by mixing 2 primaries.

My favorite color scheme is definitely a neutral, slightly cooler sort of gray, white (as pure white as possible, not any sort of off-white or tint), and teal (depends on the day how tinted or shaded I like it). It always manages to look very sleek, in my opinion. Actually, gray, white, and any sort of what I call a 'jewel-tone' (richly saturated but fairly dark) color usually looks pretty nice.

When selecting boarders for your images, or when putting a photo in a frame (matted or unmatted) is it best to select colors that are in the photo itself? If so, how much/amount of the colors should be in the be in the border or picture frames and matting (i.e. should they be proportional to the amount of colors in the picture? In addition, when separating the colors in the boarder colors or picture frame/ matting (say using colors, what color should separate the other two? Could u do a vid?

She's absolutely right about the Complimentary Colors. They, by their own nature, force the other color to pop out. When you have 2 colors forcing one another to pop out, you get a visual competition and uneasiness to the eye. Very smart tip.

my favorite color scheme? This is an impossible question! In what context, is this in decor, fashion (and who is wearing it), graphic design, visual art (and if so what medium).
