Too heavy and too big for rail. The actual generator is relatively small (covered by red plastic you see on the vid). But it is so friggin' heavy that it needs to have its weight spread along as many wheels as possible (otherwise it would simply sink into the ground). To be able to negotiate tight turns, such as this one, Mammoet hang it in a custom build frame between 2 turn-table platforms mounted on many wheels each.

Too long, too wide. Tunnels and terrain would be an issue. Also it would have to be handled twice, so to speak.
