  • @legandrydirk - Yes. He is still giving joy to others as he did in his own life. A true artist and sweetheart.

  • A lovely song, beautiful, indeedily- doodly.

  • @MusicalTree3 Sums up Syd Barrett and his life perfectly.

  • When I'm drawing my last breath, I hope that this is one of the many songs that flood through my consciousness before I bathe in a greater light…

  • Gnarly.

  • that is some of their best guitar work, what a byoot of a song, i've loved this band ever since bingenheimer played them on KROQ in LA in 90. only a tongue can tell and obscurity knocks. oh yeah ! thanks for sharing that

  • great song to fall asleep with! v relaxing!

  • sweet song : )

  • In 30 years the Trashcan Sinatras will be looked back at as todays Velvet Underground, very underated in their time but hugely important and relevant to their fans and contemporaries.

The maybe the best band to come out of Europe period. At the very least the most musically talented, That includes the Cure, The Smiths and all who preceded them

  • @tragicallyhiprule You are kidding right? I love there music but I would certainly miss the Smiths and the Cure more if there music never existed.

  • R.I.P Syd. Nice song.

  • I wanted to post this on the first day of summer, not just because I love this band's music, but because this strikes me as so much a "sit on your front steps and watch the fireflies at sunset" sort of song. Unfortunately, the backing track is apparently a demo version - the CD version is even groovier.

  • I simply love how a video like this falls through the cracks of attention. But as Joni Mitchell says: "We all need some cracks... that's how the light gets in..."

  • Lovely...

  • Fantastico! Muchas gracias

    Fernando

  • Такие группы,как The Trashcan Sinatras,огромная редкость!!!!Мое восхищение безгранично!!!Волшебная песня!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The Trashcan Sinatras please come and play at the Brudenall Social Club Leeds its the best venue in the world

  • I wish i could capture the magic of this song into my room so i could make it a piece of me :)

  • Do you ever get in a conversation at a party with someone who you know hasnt bought a record in thirty years yet proceeds to tell you about music and think jeez how am I gonna get across to you how brilliant the Trashcan Sinatras are ..its bloody frustrating....

    Glenn

  • Exactlyy :) its frustrating when people look at my records and i never talk about my music with people who cant appreciate it

  • They are so hard to get your hands on. Read about their album on Teletext coming out to "zero fanfare".

  • Great visuals for a sublimely wistful and gorgeous trashcan's song.

Never was a chain on a snare drum put to better use!

  • I'm swooning!

  • Sure would be nice to buy this song in the U.S.

  • comes out in august here, it is available as an import from Japan however

  • I'm getting tix to see them next month. Little place, less than 1000 seats, for like $18 ea US. That is the best bargain in years. I am hooked on this song. Here is another one of theirs from the past that I'm addicted to: "I'll get them In' off of Happy Pocket album. Perhaps their greatest song ever, and about drinking, which I can support and relate to. Love them, cheers

  • Beautiful song and yes, almost as good as I'll Get Them In. Another classic of theirs is "Earlies." Can't wait to get the new CD; these guys are brilliant.

  • Here here. Wonderful show by the way.

  • God bless them...

  • Good lord, that is the trippiest video I have ever seen, good work Mr Director. Capturing the essence there.

  • the gutarest goes to my academy he is an english teacher

  • Youre joking? I thought they are pros. Are they still the original Scottish guys? Have they emigrated to the States? Im guessing you are from the US as you use the word academy

  • Still the originals members except for shifting bass players. Think the band members are half US and Scottish based now.

I've been jamming with drummer Stephen in Glasgow recently, he is an amazing musician and a thoroughly nice bloke. The trashcans are disgracefully neglected and underrated in their home country.

  • Blimey, thats a result jamin, Yes they are underated and Im surprised considering everything else thats been around and got a lot more attention. Wierd situation. Still cant believe one of them teaches English - they should have been able to turn pro band instead !

  • One of the few bands that can bring tears to my eyes at first listen. Beautiful, Refreshing.

  • just beautiful...musical perfection..

  • Most underrated band...ever. Then again, it's nice to have them all to those who know.

  • Sweet Sweet Sweet!!!

  • Even their b-sides are better than most band's singles. I love that they are our own secret, but they should rule the world, enveloping it in their craft.

  • Amasing

  • Creatiive :)

    I liked it.

  • Very nice finish! Peace, love and freedom

  • The only way these guys could suprise me is to release a crap song. They didn't. Great stuff as always. Looks like I'll be buying disc four and savoring it as much as the others. Hurry April!

  • I meant disc five!

  • Oh i couldn't agree with you more, every song is a masterpiece, EVERY SONG!

  • I'm sorry i should have said every song is "A Timeless Masterpiece"

  • sitting here in my bedroom feeling sorry for myself (man flu!!) put this on to cheer me up....You've been away too long boys. Far too long. I love you all, damn you!

  • Fabulous band. Was wary when 'Weightlifting' was released, thinking they'd been away too long and a pale tired album would be the result. However ,that album was just gorgeous. This track also bodes well. Hurry up and release the new one . . .

  • f***ing brilliant!

  • Another gem from the Trashies ! What is it about you Scottish bands ( Trashcasn Sinatras, Blue Nile, Aztec Camera, Cocteau Twins, Waterboys etc etc etc etc etc )......amazing !

  • I have asked myself the same thing: "What are those guys eating for breakfast??"

  • Im guessing apples and oranges. :)

  • Quite simply beautiful.

  • Can't wait for the album release, should be sometime early '09...

  • super gemacht, benni und stefan!

  • Great song! please go on tour soon!

  • i love it

  • beautiful in every way.

  • I've been waiting so long for this , thanks for the post keep them coming, 2:42 (claw), xoxo

  • the start sounds like the sad ending music in eastenders loooooool ;0p

  • Excellent track - part of it goes to The City Wakes project.

  • Don't get me wrong, I could look at Frank all day...but where are the other gents?

  • it wasn't possible to get all the guys together for the video. you can get away with just the singer in the video...if you have the singer and one guitar player or another guy it looks kind of stupid.

  • that was beautiful! loved the music :)

seems like it your arms would get tired.

  • loved it!
