@daddyluv123 Correction the Cascades never died in a plane crash The group did reformed in 1995 and again in 2004 without drummer Dave Wilson who had died in 2000, aged 63, and they toured the US and the Philippines, Eddie Snyder changed his name to Eddie Preston and went country check, and John Claude Gummoe the original lead singer still downloads new stuff he's doing onto youTube, so check what you know NOT what you think you know before you slag someone off

@euqirsej : Yes they are the original. The rumor came out that they died in a plane crash is that because their second album didn't reached the Philippines and no news came out from them during those time.

I was mislead that this group was all perished on a plane crash, that no one ever survived. thank GOD that it isn't true I'm just hoping that they will have a concert here in America (west Coast S.F. Bay Area) I'm sure they'll be surprise to know that a lot of "Cascades" Fans are waiting for them.

Interestingly enuff, they used 2 have a regular venue in San Diego at the La Mesa Bowl where I used to sneak in the lounge and at age 14 & dance 2 them Live all nite long! I think this was the winter of 1964, when they had their 1st album out. I also went to the same high school in San Diego w/song composer-singer Stephen Bishop. Met him one day during lunch in The Quad. "On & On", "It Might Be You".

It's great that oldies groups like the Cascades can draw such a crowd in Asia. Others like the Crickets and Bobby Vee apparently still do very well in Europe also. On the downside though, I wonder if they feel a little unappreciated back home. There are still many of us who appreciate the old acts but maybe fewer of us to make it worthwhile commercially in North America.
