This was so beautiful, almost like it really happened. Halo seems milked from the outside, when you haven't played it, or read any of the books or meet the fans, not the gamers mind you, but the fans and you'll see a story taking place. A big story with many stories in it. Understanding this, you see why it is going beyond Bungie, people want to tell the story and to hear it. The messages are a little diluted, since it never really happened, but maybe we should listen?

what i like about Halo is the fact that they didnt just give gamers and audiences a game to play, but also to let people feel what's inside Halo, the story, the emotions, the victory and the fallen. it lets you immerse deeply on how Halo felt like behind the normal scenes we see on the game, and how would it feel like after we play, and possibly here more like as if it happened in real time, real life with us. honestly, you dont get this kind of story on any other game. hope the movie's real!

It cant really "have happened" seeing as Halo is a fictional game set in 2552... Thats over 500 years in the future.

They are acting there as if it did. They think the chief is killed but he is still alive as you can see from completing the game and watching after the credits. Check for the legendary extended ending.
