@KyleCarrington I really need to change the magnets to the rare earth ones, right now it really has to spin way to fast to get the volts up to 12 + . I wanted to try the ceramics to see, and they would work for a HAWT since these tend to spin faster in the same wind conditions. I can use it to recharge the little 1.5 volt rechargables for flashlights and things.
@Aceman307 I see. Honestly, I don't understand how that'd make a difference in the voltage. I would think it'd make a difference in the current, sure... I would think the number of turns, on the stator, will bump your voltage up. I could be wrong though, but that is how I understand it!
@KyleCarrington The magnets make a big difference if you look at most PMAs here on utube most guys wont even bother with the ceramics. It is very difficult for me to get the rare earth magnets here so I wanted to try the ceramics. The stronger magnets strip off more electrons thus increasing amps and volts. My other PMA uses the rare earth magnets.
Under ideal build conditions, after you modify all that you wish you could... what do you anticipate this VAWT to produce? 10-30 watts maybe? Curious. Thanks
Cool concept. What RPM do you figure you need for 13.8v output? (if that's your goal voltage). Nice work.

@Aceman307 I knew neo's were the way to go, but I wasn't aware that they effected the voltage too. Where are you maybe someone could send you some!
