  • Thank you for sharing so much of your personal life with your fans. Your son is so cute! I lost my 18 year old cat over a year ago and that was difficult. I loved her very much.

  • So sorry about your loss. We had to put out 17 year old poodle down so I understand.

How can we petition to get you on Glee...OMG...love that show and would LOVE IT even more if you were on it!!!!!!

  • I'm sorry for ur lost.

these is the live day giving and the others taken away from us.

  • I understand this. I lost my Cat to a sudden heart attack or anneurism 2 years ago. He was only 3 years old and was playing just seconds before. I'll keep you in my thoughts.

  • Sam Scott and I lost four precious family pets over the past 2 years, Jade, Same, Tank, and Grey Lady Jane. Our house is so empty now and we grieve with you!

  • I am sorry for your loss!! You guys have huge hearts and I know (being from the Chicago) how close we are attached to our pets and that we treat like our best friends. Glad to see you are healthy and doing well with Danny and Cooper. Good luck and the very best of wishes!!! Peace

  • Um, eye brows!

  • I'm sorry that you lost Emma. How very sad and difficult for you and your family.

We can learn much from our children. They live in the moment , in the beauty and do not hold on to any of the "stuff".

Balance is in the moment.. Don't you find that?

    Love.

  • sorry to hear about emma : ( i gave my Hugo (red headed step child whom I love like he IS my son) a huge hug... they are your family. they are always there... but then, one day they are not and you realise just how close you were. rip emma. xxx

  • So sorry about the loss of your dog Emma. I've always loved seeing her at the end of your videos and I hope you still continue to do so because it won't seem like a Sam Harris video without her. :(

  • so sorry about your sweet baby..

but you could have warned me before you started the pictures and the song.. sitting here at work bawling my eyes out ..

*hugest hugs* How did your weight loss go last year? I managed to lose a whole 13 pounds. I've really got to step it up this year.. and force myself to get to the gym.. maybe you could put a really cool mix video (or two) together to work out too? :)

  • Dear Sam,

I lost my dog in the summer in the exact same way. I found out that he'd had the tumor on his spleen and he survived longer than I'd expected. Rufus was my only pet and the first one I'd ever had as an adult. My own dog. It's been so very lonely here but I also know that putting him down was the best thing I could do for him. I'm so sorry you lost your baby. Much affection for your loss.

  • It is just so sad to loose a pet. I lost my Golden a year ago. Tia lost both of her dogs (one of which was a double for Emma. Since then, Tia's 4 year old daughter was constantly writing and singing little songs about her dead dogs - so they finally rescued a Lab mix. They are all so happy. I bet Zak really misses Emma. So sorry, guys.

Hey - say hi to Jimmy at Birdland, who employed Tia as his magician's assistant when he was 15 and she was 11 believe it or not.

  • big fan of yours!!! would love to see u on glee!!!

  • Our pets enrich our lives. I'm sorry about your family's loss.

  • I could comment about a whole bunch of things. Let me sum it up..

Life is a progression. It takes it forward whether we want it to or not.

Some of it good. Some is not.

But forward we go.. as if we had a some sort of choice in the matter!

  • Oh, my! That ending was touching.....(tears).....

  • Sam, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved puppy, Emma. My ex-partner and I lost Charlie, our beloved Beagle-Springer Spaniel mix, in September 2008 at the same age, 15 (liver cancer). I grew up with cats, and yes, pets ARE family! In fact, soon after you were on Star Search, my beloved orange tabby cat, Buffy, died at the age of 13 in November 1984.

GREAT first video of the year, Sam!! May you, Danny and Cooper continue to be blessed. HUGS!!

  • really sorry about your dog, been through it. lost 10 lbs, couldn't eat for a week at the time.

i remember when you were just starting out on star search. i loved you. your original album was excellent. no one can sing over the rainbow like you. back then, i hated sawyer brown, but loved them later when kenny rogers helped make them famous. i have been to their concerts. you have such a unique voice and style. i also loved sugar don't bite.

  • Cooper is extraordinary because he has extraordinary parents.

I'm sorry for your loss of Emma.

  • I'd love to see you guest on Glee. Maybe a singing janitor or school security cop.

  • @Kjazzinphx

I've heard this comment almost as much as "Adam Lambert's singing reminds me of yours!" I LOVE GLEE! I think it's brilliant and funny and powerful and the music is amazing. I know a lot of people involved or who have guested (or who I've heard might guest) and I would love to do this show. So tell THEM! Seriously, I think I should play Lea Michelle's dad, right! I mean she has to get it from somewhere! It's a great show and I hope it has a long happy life on the air.

  • Of course you should be cast as one of Lea Michelle's dads! It's almost a given. And couldn't Kristen Chenowith have been Lea's secret birthmom who you divorced because of her boozing shortly after having given birth and before you met and fell in love with Jane Lynch's brother who is even more of a jock than Jane's character?

I'm emailing the show and you should definitely campaign for the role.

  • Sorry for your loss of Emma..Just know she is free of all pain and running at the bridge. You will see her again one day. Congrats on all the Great stuff going on in you and your family's lives. Enjoy that beautiful little boy..A gift of a child is one of the greatest gifts you could ever receive...HUGS!

  • Hi Sam, I am sooo sorry about Emma.

She will always be in your heart, cause you're so right, they are family!

I can't believe how fast Cooper is growing!

What a little happy man he is!

Have a great time in NY....you say you have concert dates? Are any of them in Florida? I'm hoping!

I send all my love to you, Danny and Cooper....you know how much I love you Sam and I don't mind the gray at all! HA!

    You're lookin' marveluuuus!

    Lots of Love,

    Angie....your gal in Florida

  • Sammie, babe, the gray is gonna happen, just accept it. You're still gor-jus, and everyone loves you.

  • Dearest Sam, Danny & Cooper, my heart breaks for you. I lost my Angel (husky) in May to cancer. She was only 7. Then 2 months later my brother lost his husky, Kodi, who was 15 (and my first dog's puppy!) I know the sorrow and emptiness you feel, but I also know the wonderful loving life you gave her. That is the comfort to carry. Much love, hope to see you in 2010. Di

  • Oh Sam, I am so sorry to hear about Emma; my cat passed away last year and I had her for 17 years so I do feel your pain. I felt guilty for many months afterwards because we were in Hawaii when she passed. You had me crying from your tribute to Emma, it was so touching...May God comfort you and your family during this sad time.

Cooper is so adorable and getting so big!!! What a beautiful smile he has. I know you are so proud of him.

    love you,
