However what puzzles me is if ppl are proud of & love the country they r from, why don't they expect the same from Americans? I don't think that the chorus is against USA in general, but more specifically about the propaganda that exists within the USA that keeps telling the citizens all the time that they would be living in such a great country.

Ask the Swedish which country they think is the greatest in the world and without failure, every one of them will say that Sweden is the most developed country in the world. According to the UN, only Norway and New Zealand are more developed.

Anyway, you can't deny that there is a whole lot of flag-waving going on in American media. I think that it is in a much higher proportion than in other developed countries. It's not the worst place in the world but not the most perfect, and from a European's point of view I understand why most of the people in Europe prefer not to.
