you can make it keep the color that was on the screen before if you exit out of the color chooser by creating a temp color variable and placing it directly about the color chooser call

After an hour of trying to firgure out why my program had an error, I finally found that it was because i had my second class extend JPanel instead of JFrame....

Why not put "if(color != null){panel.setBackground(colo­r);}" ?

That way it stays the same color if you didn't choose one, instead of suddenly turning white.
