@Scrallex thanks. This was my first attempt at a solver for puzzles larger than the standard 3x3x3 cube. The later "MultiCuber" design is somewhat faster.
Watching this video, I became more interested in the fact that the lego creation is in time with the music at 10x speed than I was in the rubix cube solving.
@zemond Sigh.. sometimes I wonder if EVERYONE in the world hasn't become just a complete blithering idiot. Would it have been so incredibly hard for you to fucking Google that info BEFORE you opened your big fat mouth? 30.88 seconds dumbass... look it up
So I've read through the comments, as I am also greatly interested in the track used for the video, and the census based on others as well as my own observations have come to the conclusion that this is *a* remix of Rank 1 - Airwave. *A* remix in a swathe of about *60* OTHER REMIXES of the same song. I wish to know exactly which remix it is, the help would be greatly appreciated.
I don't even want to imagine how much programing went into that! Also, this video makes sigh in relief that i'm not the only one who still uses a Nokia N95 in the age of the iphone/android.
@dragossh sorry to disappoint you but I created this robot over a year ago and have since switched to Android.... have a look at some of the later videos on ARMflix and on my channel if you are interested ;-)
@darthjeff3 it is programmed with an algorithm that I developed as an extension to the way I solve the 4x4x4 cube myself. I believe the order in which the pieces are solved is slightly different from most human solutions and results in a far shorter sequence of moves. Since this robot was created I have enhanced the algorithm to solve arbitrary size cubes and used it in my "MultiCuber" series of robots that can solve cubes from 2x2x2 all the way up to the 7x7x7 V-CUBE 7 :-)
@IAssemble i imagine the V-Cube was a challenge due to its its roundish shape! and i can see you developing a new algorithm because if you used the average algorithm it would take forever to solve it!
@darthjeff3 yes, the curved faces of the V-CUBE 7 did provide a few challenges! The video of MultiCuber 777 demonstrates a solve in about 38 minutes in what I recall was a little under 500 moves.
@LNOL - why shouldn't it be using a software algorithm that looks like a "human method"? Actually, I believe the order in which it solves the face centres and edges isn't like most human methods :-)
@LNOL - I am not a speedcuber, but I do design LEGO solvers :-) I believe that most humans solve all the centres then all the edges? This algorithm solves face centres and edges in the following order: 2 faces, 1 edge, 1 face, 2 edges, 1 face, 2 edges, 2 faces, 7 edges... I suspect it may be possible to write algorithms to solve the 4x4x4 cube in fewer moves but I've only looked at more efficient software solutions for the 3x3x3 cubes so far.
@LNOL BTW the phone display at 0:31 shows the total number of moves is 109 for this scramble which I recall is about average for this algorithm. Is this about the same number you take to solve a 4x4x4 cube?
18 people made a mindstorm thing or robot lego thing and then putted rubix cugbe there and then later later the rubix cube broke and lego thing exploded
btw it was a nokia n95 that was made in FINLAND, not made by Nokia(made in china) the made in china version(which came later on the market) was 1/3 cheaper, and even worser.
a nokia n95 i just 2 own one(a couple days after the release years ago when it was to expensive) what a dissaster.n96 and n97 which i hoped was better is even worser(i bought them bought) and now i am not buying any nokia anymore.
@rubiksgh3 - thanks for the question. If the cube was accidentally overturned, this robot would probably jam and give up. However, my later MultiCuber and Speedcuber robots have a built-in software mechanism that can detect if a motor stalls and attempt to recover by turning it in the opposite direction.
@IAssemble ye i will do that, i saw on a video that this is your account too, can u tell me which remix of "Rank1 - Airwave" it is? I really love this song! (subscribed on both accs)
@MakkeSk8 - several others thought the music was a remix of Rank1 by Airwave but ARMflix previously commented that the track is actually called 'Happiness Techno Trance' and was purchased under license from iStock.
The ARMflix channel belongs to ARM Ltd. although I am responsible for creating all the LEGO Rubik Cube solvers shown here and on my own channel :-)
@SilentEliminator - I wasn't suggesting you were wrong - there probably are better algorithms for the 4x4x4 cube that are suitable for computers (or mobile phones ;-) ) but not for humans. This is certainly true for the smaller 3x3x3 cube.. @Noobtac Some time ago you left a comment asking about a robot to solve the 12 sided megaminx... You might like to take a look at the "Android Megaminxer" on the ARMflix channel ;-)
@Noobtac - thanks for asking how long the solve was in real time. I recall that it took about 19 minutes for this solve of 109 moves. In comparison, my "MultiCuber 777" can solve a 7x7x7 puzzle in around 475 moves in only about double the time.
