Great a one piece game. Oh its a generic dynasty warriors clone like the bleach game. Its been over 10 years and their games are still the same to the point I've gone off the dynasty warriors altogether.
@5heeshi Here is the difference between the Bleach one, this, and Dynasty Warriors. The Bleach and One Piece ones they actually tried to make interesting and fun. I've played the Bleach game and though it is repetitive the missions are actually challenging and it has enough content for a fan to like it. My point is that these anime versions have more love put into them then the Dynasty Warriors games.

The thing that is impressive to me is that they still made it a challenge even when you have a character at their max level. They made it pretty balanced and though the game play is repetitive it gives you plenty to do. From beating missions on all the modes, getting an S on them, and just seeing if you can beat your own combo record. Its pretty damn good.
@KazeAizen Gamespot gave it a 5 out of 10. Famitsu gave it 28 out of 40. Plus the main problem with the game is that there isn't enough characters, the story mode is way to freaking short, and there's no online. Also unlike good anime games it doesn't even try to explain the plot of Bleach to anyone that hasn't watched all of the series. I will admit that the missions can be fun and the game is balanced but the flaws just really kill it. It's still a mediocre game though. See gamespots review.

@Testsubject909 The strawhats all have different "builds" for each arc. So different movesets and often different costumes. There would be an east blue build for each character, an alabasta build, a water seven build, shabony build and timeskip build. It's likely that sogeking is simply the water seven build.
Don't quote me on the exact arcs for which there are builds, but the formula is something like the above.
@fizieyable It's a bit daunting I can imagine since there's a few hundred episodes out as well as a dozen or so movies as well. But the Anime is highly faithful to the Manga, a good adaptation with good voice acting, the Funimation dub is also well done and does deserve more support.
If you do tackle it. I suggest you take it slowly, just piece by piece or have a good time and organize a marathon viewing with friends. If the first dozen or so episodes can get you, then you're in for a lotta fun
@fizieyable That said, be wary as well, the first few episodes have a lighter feel (yes, despite the fact that you'll get to see a man have his arm bitten off by a large sea serpent), the anime/manga enjoys taking some time to build up some very deeply emotional scenes.
As for filler episodes, they're nearly seamlessly integrated in the anime, so unless you follow the manga at the same time, you won't be able to spot what is or isn't a filler episode or filler arc.

It´s amazing if they can add the full story with most of the lines used over the years on the serie and bring it on a single release game with the story up to like 3-6 months ago is an AMAZING job by the developers on the first One Piece game for the ps3 and a EPIC way to make me buy a ps3 at all. Can´t wait for it to release on Europe!

Now I like Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, and Dragon Ball. But this game doesn't look great. I mean if you compare this to Bleach Soul Resurrecion (Thats how the game spells it right?) or Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations... The Quality is low. Which is a total shame cause One Piece is an awesome series
Of course One Piece has sold more, it's been out longer. It has an extra 80 chapters, so it's had around 18 months of sales before Naruto even got published. One Piece is at 654, Naruto is at 571.
Not trying to say Naruto is better ( I like both) but I think its unfair to not consider the start up time difference.
@billnye69 Even without looking at the total sales bro, they release volumes and measure the sales of each of the volumes and still naruto doesn't come in close. It's even yet to surpass dragon ball that ended ages ago. I'm a naruto fan too. And seeing as you've read both I think you can understand why I defend one piece rather than support naruto, because O.P has proved to be a better story.

Fairy Tail is alot more recent then Naruto and Bleach, yet it's easily surpassed Bleach in sales and is currently in the Top 5. Not only that, the general amount that was sold between places 2nd and the rest average around 3-5 million, while One Piece sold more than Naruto, Fairy Tail, and Bleach combined.

Some games that are released in Japan aren't released overseas until like 1 or 2 years later in some cases. Still, the fact they've registered a trademark for it is definitely a good sign. @obixkallen The thing is most one piece fans do support naruto, but naruto fans always talk shit about one piece. Naruto got me into anime and manga, well right after i stopped reading ranma. So i'm grateful to it because without it i probably wouldn't have discovered the awesome that is one piece.

people who are whining about the graphics need to understand that this game is going to be fucking long as hell. with all the attacks for each characters, attacks for bosses, all the diffrent environments, all the diffrent enemy designs, the entire length of the series and cramming it all into one disk. i mean come on. not all games can look like skyrim. and naruto storm games are all fighting with a lot of characters. the only things they worry bout is animation and attacks the environments suk

Skyrim is 5 gigabyte which is nothing really - uncharted is 20+GB see the difference? second thing the size doesn't really matter they can have 3-5+ discs for xbox and one for ps3 oh wait the game on PS3 ONLY and last thing the game is based of dynasty warriors so not really big maps you just go through each map and fight the boss nothing else.

@ninja0gaiden yea but there are gna be a buttload of maps.alvida's ship, the marine base, zoro's excecution cross-thingy place, the town (hopefully) the abandoned town they showed in one of the previews where they fought buggy and his men, the slope at usopps town, the inside of the baratie, the outside wreck of krieg's ship, cocoyashi village, arlong park, namis map room, ruins of arlong park, lougetown, the excecution platform town square thingy. and this just the first part of the game

Now I like Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, and Dragon Ball. But this game doesn't look great. I mean if you compare this to Bleach Soul Resurrecion (Thats how the game spells it right?) or Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations... The Quality is low. Which is a total shame cause One Piece is an awesome series

Of course One Piece has sold more, it's been out longer. It has an extra 80 chapters, so it's had around 18 months of sales before Naruto even got published. One Piece is at 654, Naruto is at 571.
Not trying to say Naruto is better ( I like both) but I think its unfair to not consider the start up time difference.

@billnye69 Even without looking at the total sales bro, they release volumes and measure the sales of each of the volumes and still naruto doesn't come in close. It's even yet to surpass dragon ball that ended ages ago. I'm a naruto fan too. And seeing as you've read both I think you can understand why I defend one piece rather than support naruto, because O.P has proved to be a better story.

@billnye69 That hardly matter considering the the amount of copies sold of the other ongoing series besides Naruto. Fairy Tail is alot more recent then Naruto and Bleach, yet it's easily surpassed Bleach in sales and is currently in the Top 5. Not only that, the general amount that was sold between places 2nd and the rest average around 3-5 million, while One Piece sold more than Naruto, Fairy Tail, and Bleach combined.

@maeve2503 You want One Piece to have 'realistic' graphics in its games? With these games you can't do that. It would look plain wrong. These graphics aren't outdated at all. Its called "stylized" most of the big anime games these days use some form of styilized cell shading for its graphics. Like the guy said before, its to capture the unique art form of the respective author/manga/anime that the game is based on.

Some games that are released in Japan aren't released overseas until like 1 or 2 years later in some cases. Still, the fact they've registered a trademark for it is definitely a good sign. All we can really do is cross our fingers and hope.
