I wont really see Twisted Sister as a glam band really..in my opinion(and according to Metal: A Headbangers Journey) that their more of a shock rock band in some way..more rebellious. Glam/Hair Bands are for example bands like Motley Crue and Poison and so on

And although I'm young at 24, I grew up appreciating good music- not ghetto rap. Twisted Sister are very much a mixed bag for me (really only like the 'Can't Stop Rock'n'Roll' album; Dee's (solo) records with Desperado & Widowmaker are much better than most TS stuff) but Dee is one of the most bad ass frontmen/entertainers music has ever seen. I just saw/heard his song on 'Gone Country' and it kicks major booty! He should make a hellbilly/hardcore country record - it would be awesome.

Dude, Dee has been a multi-media guy for a long time now - he's done music, written and starred in his own movie(s), has/had a syndicated radio show, written songs for other people (incl. Celine Dion), and now done 'Gone Country'. He is a rock legend with a strong personality (and one of the best frontmen ever!) who is a smart and witty - that's why he does have a media presence. Nobody claims he is Plant, Dio or Tyler's equal in terms of musical importance but Dee is very good at what he does.
