Its IS true that Pop music(pop ROCK in this case) was much better in the 1980's than the crap(mostly) we have now. This songs sound can be contemporary to any decade from the 1970's and on. Nena freaking rocked! Some of todays exceptions are Allison Iraheta, Orianthi, Xtina...Meaning these are good artists, but most others are not.

I can always feel the audience's excitement in these sorts of situations, but that's not the same as being there! This audience seems to sing better than some of the others I've seen in youtube videos.
