Ok, one problem I got with that, losing weight can be un healthy but I am more for the girl that takes care of her body and part of that is not eating alot junk and getting really fat... but there is such thing as to skinny were they throw up, starve themself and that is I am against even thought I am a guy and about to go on a huge diet to cut up just because I am a male dancer and makes more tips the better body :P

I have so many friends, they are a normal size and beautiful, and they think they are fat. But the point is they are not satisfied with there body, and they are a normal size. On the other hand, im a bit overweight, but Im comfortable in my body, and thats acutally the most important. RAGE, u guys dont have a clue how easy it is to lose some weight, no wonder. u have a maintenance amount of calories for example 2500~ thats shit loads of food btw if u avoid unhealthy stuff. and u just go under that maintenance BY A LITTLE BIT!! usually about 500cals u dont starve at all! no jojo effect nothing. then u just excercise say couple mins a day or 1-2 hours a week, doesnt matter if u cant sprint for 30mins or bike 40mph, u can do it at your own pace.

Women who subscribe to these two segments probably feel that they must subject themselves to starvation for acceptance, but most men in the real world like curves. Let's be honest here, the reason women want to be thin is because men in general find slimmer women more attractive overall. Weight is something that can be changed by diet and excercise so its one of the most accessible ways of making yourself more attractive. Maybe instead of making fat people feel better about being fat, we should just accept that the most beautiful people are the healthiest people - and as a whole slimmer people are healthier, although some may take it to the extreme.

and voila! ul be losing like a pound a week no problem! the more motivation dedication and confidence u get from doing it and being succesful, u can step up the excersice but NEVER lower the food intake, infact if u excercise quite a bit ud actually need to eat more! to still lose the weight. and finally, u know u would like to lose weight even if its just a little bit, because u are on here convincing yourself, something u yourself are bothered with (not other people!) is ok.

RAGE, u guys dont have a clue how easy it is to lose some weight, no wonder. u have a maintenance amount of calories for example 2500~ thats shit loads of food btw if u avoid unhealthy stuff. and u just go under that maintenance BY A LITTLE BIT!! usually about 500cals u dont starve at all! no jojo effect nothing. then u just excercise say couple mins a day or 1-2 hours a week, doesnt matter if u cant sprint for 30mins or bike 40mph, u can do it at your own pace.

I know certain segments of American society (fashion and Hollywood, to a certain extent only) want their women skinny and completely beautiful. Women who subscribe to these two segments probably feel that they must subject themselves to starvation for acceptance, but most men in the real world like curves. No guy i know says, "Wow, look at the ribs and pelvis stick out on that smokin' bod!"

everyone should do all the can to improve themselves both physically and mentally. the mass media is just a stimulus for people to try to improve themselves. the reason think fit and skinny are beautiful is because thousands of years of human society have made being skinny the beauty standard because its the healthiest way to live ones life. im not promoting anorexia or other eating disorders, im just saying that being skinny should not be condemned, but rather encouraged to be achieved.

Let's be honest here, the reason women want to be thin is because men in general find slimmer women more attractive overall. Weight is something that can be changed by diet and excercise so its one of the most accessible ways of making yourself more attractive. Maybe instead of making fat people feel better about being fat, we should just accept that the most beautiful people are the healthiest people - and as a whole slimmer people are healthier, although some may take it to the extreme.

look im a guy and i workout constantly and i eat whatever i want bc im hungry and i stay in shape. however most ppl eat when there sad, or bored or its their fav desert...and thats why their obese, and they lie to themselves saying stuff like what you said and making excuses...honestly i think for your height, u would problably be labeled clinicaly obese...i mean can you honestly say you eat healthy and excercise at all? it takes motivation and will power but anyone can do it.

@thejrp13 i never call labor, a workout, bc one your not concentrating on losing weight, your actually trying(even if you wont admit it) to reserve energy, so that you can keep a steady pace throughout your work day. when you workout, however, you are giving it everything you have and are actively trying to burn out. there is a difference.

This idea that super-thin is better/sexier/whatever is a sickness promoted by the media. I PROMISE you--most guys--by far--like the curvy girls like you better. It's mostly the OTHER GIRLS that are the pound nazis and put the pressure on to be so crazy thin. Everyone is pounded by these ridiculous body image messages from the media, and unfortunately, a LOT of people buy into it. It never ceases to amaze me when beautiful women have low self esteem thinking they're unacceptably fat.
