Well, still...L was right within like 2 seconds of meeting Light. The only reason the case took so long is because L didn't have any evidence.
And...L was much smarter than Light. The only reason Light won was because he had a FREAKIN' SHINIGAMI on his side. If Rem wasn't all over Misa, then Light would have completely lost. Rem was a wildcard...because they don't know her motivations, she could have just killed them for no reason, and NOT to help Light. No convincing evidence = no arrest.
actually if you noticed L himself said it Light is smarter then him thats why he was fit for the job of Second L.. L had the entire task force behind him Light had 2 things Rem and misa..if im correct and in other terms still L failed and don't forget it Light still is smarter he is more cunning and either way L wouldve died
Light has a Death Note, a crazy bitch who will do anything for him WHO ALSO has a Death Note and Shinigami Eyes, and the Shinigami who will do anything for the crazy bitch.
L has a less-than-talented team of police officers and an old man, as well as two professional criminals.

Had she not been there, L would have won, even if he died. First off, the 13 day rule would be proven false...and even if it wasn't, he could say "If I die before the convict does, then Light Yagami is Kira and Misa is the second Kira."

That's what I said...and it doesn't take all that much cunning to have Misa on your side. Misa was on his side by complete dumb luck. Light HAPPENED to kill her parents' killer, and she HAPPENED to find him AND be shallow enough to declare it love at first sight.
also, Light is proud. If he was smart, he would have given up and ignored L...and then, there would be no series, and this argument would be moot.
I can't watch it again its gonna make me cry so hard...
