  • Could u do one on how to record HD with flip

  • avermedia c821

  • ty im going to buy it

  • How do you get this recorder?

  • its a good recorder, well worth it if you make vids alot if you got the hdpvr for nothing you might as well sell it.

  • where to get component cables not 4 Ps3 but 4 Tv ( i mean five plug from 2 sides????

  • look at the url to this video

  • Either u took this from tgn or they took it from you... and i think its the first one...

  • It seems you were showing the HD PVR 1212; however, I see HD PVR 1445 which seems to be a newer model than 1212. Do you recommend the 1445 model? Let us know and thanks for your tutorial.

  • @orestesdd if your a gamer then go for the 1445 since has less lag when recording, also it comes with component cables for the consoles

  • @GamersBeverage Thanks for your prompt response. This is a very good tutorial.

  • Altogether it cost bullshit

  • It's 199$ are u serious just 4 that stupid pvr

  • @2341codycool ya the price of quality, the black magic intensity is the same price

  • i found a gaming edition of the Hauppauge PVR, is that better to record with gameplay with ???

  • @slyrene222 its the exact same thing the only difference is that it has green glowing lights and comes with component cables that connect to the PS3 / Xbox / Wii

  • @GamersBeverage ok, great tutorial btw

  • I didn't get the optical thingy? gaming edition here :)

  • How much does it cost all together ? Please reply back :(

  • does the software cause any virus

  • Awesome vid. Clear cut, to the point, and thorough at the same time.

  • Exelent video. Like :)

  • So I have no cables directly from my PS3 to my TV right?

The cap card is a 'middle-man' type figure here?

  • I have a HDMI cable for my ps3. Can it be plugged into the TV while the AV cable is plugged into the HD PVR?

  • where do you buy these from? i loked in the links but thats just for helpand not the actual product?

  • dude that was soo easy man thanks

  • All I have is a 1996 medium size TV and a windows hp laptop.

  • can this pvr not be connected to a pc or mac while recording? cuz my pc is too far away and my laptop isnt good enough to do it

  • @pspgamer11 it has to be connected to a computer in order to record, it doesn't have a harddrive built in to record unfortunately.. maybe you can get a longer USB cord?

  • @GamersBeverage are there any that do not need to be connected to a computer for recording?

  • @pspgamer11 not that I know of

  • Assasins Creed Jack in the box!!

  • In video output settings, when i try to change it to hdmi + componet, it wont work for me, it acts like it doesnt recognise it, it runs the 30seconds and comes back on but doesnt let me change the quality.

  • @XyphzHD if your using an HD PVR with an HDMI cable then it will not work on the PS3 because the PS3 encodes (locks) its HDMI signals which prevents people from being able to record through them.

  • @GamersBeverage my ps3 has hdmi connected to it, not the hd pvr, ive only got the normal set of cables said in the video. How did you have your gameplay still viewable on the ps3 without the hdmi cable?

  • did you use hdmi on the ps3? or the standards cords? please reply!

  • S-Video is higher quality than composite (facepalm) And a dazzle* DVC 100 is definitely NOT HD (facepalm) Not trying to be mean, but you should do more research before making a video, but it's an okay guide.

  • @SmileeDude23 please tell me where in this guide I talk about composite ? The only thing I mention that is close to composite is the RCA inputs on the front, everything else detailed is about component cables (i hope you know the difference between composite and component) also I did not say the dazzle was HD, I was talk about the Black Magic Intensity Shuttle.

  • Im useing a hdmi splitter but my tv isnt reading the ps3 or arcsoft hd capture card plz help me with a comment

  • @fireskrall97 PS3's have encoded HDMI signals, so you need Component only to record from a PS3

  • perfect review! incredibly thorough. ty very much.

do you NEED to have PS3-specific component cables in order to gain perfect video quality?

cause i use 3rd-party-cables, kinda cheapo ones, and i experience the Ghosting Effect/Rainbow Effect.

    do you have any solution?

PLEASE I BEG YOU HELP PLEASE!

  • @joemiknor ya I usually recommend original cables..

  • how u film that?

  • do u need a laptop?

  • great tutorial i been lookin for a way to record my ps3 gmeplay and i just found it keep up the good work

  • If I have a snowball mic how can I do live commentary?

  • I'm want to record footage of my Wii using my Dazzle DVC 100. I don't know which Hard Ware to pick when I'm installing it. I can't find one that has Dazzle DVZ 100 under it or even anything that comes close to that.

  • does the input and output come with the pvr

  • fuck the taxes in my country in us they sell it like for 200-300 dollars and in my country they sell for like 600$+ not fair fuck !

  • thank you for uploading this video. you helped me a lot

  • Huappuap

  • can u use the standard cables from ps3 on the hdpvr from the front without hd cables

  • lool omg for record gameplay on ps3 just need to connect your youtube acount to your ps3 !

  • Get EasyCap, google it. Cheaper, got mine for $8 on ebay.

  • Very well put together. I have never seen you on youtube before, awesome intro and desc is just amazingly well done. All tho 1 link is missing a dot (perfection xD). I think im going to try this another way tho since I dont want to spend money on a PVR right now ;(

  • What i have is a sony bravia HD tv , a ps3 slim and a PVR , does the 7:00 audio thing matter ?

  • Hey , in approximatly 7:00 the audio high def , it goes from the hd pvr to the , surroundingnsound system , or sterio ? What do u mean . Whay

  • @RasenShuriken391 i have the same prob m8

  • The cables you had for your ps3, do you have to have those five outputs our does it still work with the three you get with the console

  • do you have to use component or can you use HDMI

  • @XDdragonite only component cables work

  • In Future....They better put a record button on Consoles!

  • I just got a HD tv and connect the HD cables that came with the Hauppauge

but it's not working my tv screen turns all black and I see the screen on my computer

    any suggestions?

  • Does the wires u pluged in 6:37 come with HD PVR ?and the component to?

  • @0om7mmd0o the HD PVR comes with only 1 set of HD PVR cables (as shown in 1:45) you need to buy component cables for your console separately

  • @GamersBeverage thanx for the reply i like favorited and subscribed , hope that helps

  • @0om7mmd0o thank you I appreciate it!!

  • i am really confused. somebody send me a message with how to record vids with a wii. i have a hd pvr but it's not the one in the vid. will it still work with diffrent one.

  • @TheTerard The cable from your PS3 always has to run to the HD PVR & since the HD PVR only has inputs for Component then no you cant use HDMI.

  • if your tv is not HD and you use the HD cables that came with the Hauppauge will it effect your tv and or system?

  • @XxEbNXxx it wont work, non-HD tv have to use the standard RCA inputs

  • dude best tutorial ever , q; whats ur TV specifcly

  • fs why does it have to be so complicated, its not worth all this cables and shit xD

  • is there any delay on the tv

  • @MADmw2hunter99 no delay on the TV, just delay on the computer

  • awesome tutorial :D hopefully we can play on xbox ACB gamertag : luisoc

  • Why don't I get the screen at 9:27? I keep getting a scrambled signal appearing on my HD TV, and I have a theory that it's because the resolution that my PS3 is outputting is too high for the PVR to handle. Can anyone help?

  • what about recording games wireless to and imac?

  • what about recording wireless to an imac?

  • Hey Magnitude I have question for you. Is it okay if i still use the HDMI that have in my PS3?

  • @KristianNox ya but the HD PVR cannot record through HDMI it needs Component Cables

  • @GamersBeverage Thank you

  • i need help, i have a pvr, can all pvrs record? and what do i need capture card wise?

  • Is 1080i the same as1080p?

  • @Nk19998 no 1080i looks like 720p , 1080p (pixel - progressive) means that all 1080 lines are rendered on the screen at once, while the "i" in 1080i mean interlaced which means that the lines alternate at one time

  • @GamersBeverage Thanks for filling us in with out to record gameplay. I've been meaning to record some of my gameplay and see how well I do and improve my skills for AC:B multiplayer. Of course, money is the only setback but isn't it always?

  • I was wondering, my tv has no surround sound or hd slot, just an rca slot. And was wondering if the rca slot in the hdpvr could also be used to record stuff instead of the slots in the back of the hdpvr?

  • @FXSQ as far as I understand it , the inputs on the front (RCA) are only for input (so video coming in from your console) and you would still need a HD TV in order to output the video through the back outputs (Component)

  • I think I now how to work my GD PVR now!

New Youtuber in the making thanks to you!

  • Hey Magnitude, have you ever tried playing as the Mercenary with the red jacket and purple cape? Awesome combination ;)

  • Please send these Hauppauge Videos to Hauppage, they DO NOT have a decent video explaining how to do this. Your video is by far the best and most organize that I have seen!

  • what if you do what people to hear my voice cause i'm 12 and my its skeky and it can get enoring to cause i talk fast

  • Awesome sauce!!! Thanks so much for this dude, I have been looking into getting a HD PVR for some time now so this will come in handy. Although I'm a Mac user so I think I have to download different software for it to work, not the one that's included in the box... But cheers anyway pal, liked, added to favorites and shared! :D
