@ilm116 Hey thanks for mentioning that. It wasn't available until around the time 2.1 came out. I'm not sure of the exact time frame but it wasn't available when the phone first came out. Thanks again for pointing it out.
@TEAMFASTLIFEJDM The answer is, you can't. However a few people have built their own dock. All it is that activates it is a magnet. I'd rather spend the $29.99 than made some hoaky stand for it.
it changes all the time so I can actually use and review all the phones. I did keep the HTC Imagio and Moto Droid for a long time because I really like them both. I just changed the Imagio for the Samsung Omnia II. I never like a phone for the first few days but then I get used to them and end up loving each one for different reasons. I totally love the Swype input technology on the Omnia II.
i made one my self id say it cost about 15-17$ to make and a tool but im still tempted to get this its a little better and i think i can use a case with it
when in the multimedia station dock the notification bar is up top when the phone is sideways right. So can u pull that down to see notifications or what????
Will the droid recognize the station if it is not plugged into a wall outlet or computer? I just hate recharging batteries when they're not fully drained.
I used to think the same way but the thinking that you shouldn't charge a battery til its dead doesn't apply to Lithium Polymer batteries. The applied to NiMH and other rechargeables from years ago. Lithium Polymer batteries lack that memory effect.
Anyway, coasterfanryan is absolutely correct, the magnet activates it. It doesn't need to be plugged in.
Why this thing is call Multimedia station since it doesnt have ANY multimedia features ?

@fg1998 The docking station creates a cradle so you can use your phone as a multimedia device in desktop mode.

Yes, the notification bar works the same, top to bottom. The application bar changes though, it goes from right to left instead of bottom to top.

Yes, it does function as a charging dock as well.
WirelessZone 2 years ago
Will it fit with a snap on protective case?

Yes, because of the magnets in the phone and dock.
