The whole thing where he says that writing the last episode shortly after writing the first episode "would be a mistake" is a risky line. He says it in reply to the host; the host talks about the fact that Rowling wrote the epilogue of Harry just after she published the first book. Damon, are you suggesting that Rowling's work is a mistake? It is sort of ambiguous

This guy is a genious - I hope he continues to create these kinds of stories after Lost - it'll be very interesting to see what he does next.

great interview. The quick wit on display whenever Damon and Carlton are interviewed together, in more of a podcast format, is always fascinating. The two of them really have an amazing camaraderie. But that said, it's equally fascinating to hear Damon when he's giving focused answers without opportunities for wisecracks. In its own way, it's like when Andy Kaufmann gave a rare appearance as a person out of any character: it was refreshing and insightful. Damon's got an intellect rarely seen.
