  • Without a doubt some of the most beautiful music ever written.

  • Eu sinto saudades 1

  • this is the best soundtract i ever heard,,

  • its just sliiiiigghtly faster than the orisinal, but it didnt ruin the music a bit at all, love this music ^^

  • "And so our story begins." I'd swear this sounds just like the intro to one of the Fable games! But didn't Danny Elfman compose the opening theme for thoes games too?

  • @Fusalamee holy crap! im so glad somebody else said it, too! im not sure if Danny Elfman did the music for the Fable games, but I agree: it sure does sound like he did

  • @Pocketwatch625 He did! According to wiki anyway. After reading your comment, I looked up the Fable soundtrack and under "artist" for the Fable theme is "Shaw/Elfman"!!!!!

  • Danny Elfman is the John WIlliams of Macebre.

  • Why why why can't i find this on the piano anywhere?!? Got the stupid Ice dance (great song and my rage shouldn't be taken out on it) but I love this song... alas it twas not meant to be.

  • best best best best best best best best best best best best best best best movie ever. the soundtrack added to the greatness. this is my fave movie and the cure is my fave band....maybe it's the hair! or the "delightfully twisted" air they both have!

  • Worth to listen outdoor on a snowy night

  • my favorite movie. ever. makes me cry every time but i still love it. everything went together perfectly. the characters, the music, just divine. it should have been so much more...but oh well. i will always love it. thank you tim burton and danny elfman and johnny depp for your parts in this work of art. thanks to everyone who's names i don't know as well for your parts as well. this will forever be my favorite movie,in my heart forever.

  • /watch?v=Xp0_edofO8E

My Edward Scissorhands piano cover :)

    Coment please !

  • Tim Burtom was always my favorite director.

  • The 4 people who disliked this are effing dead inside.

  • @raisedontelevision no, edward tryied to stab them with his scissorhands

  • 4 people thought it's the gay Edward from twilight

  • @spacepaw1 orrrrrrrr four people just don't know good music and listen to "50 Cent"

  • bloody great.

  • dreaming melody...<3i adore it!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The choirs work here, but Elfman uses choirs in almost every fuckin' soundtrack he does! Consequently, a lot of his music ends up sounding like edward scissorhand music. Contrast that with someone like say Jerry Goldsmith, where every soundtrack sounds completely unique. I'm not hating on Danny Elfman, I love the guy! Just a lot of his music just sounds the same, in my opinion.

  • @fireoutlaw23 You've probably not listened to all his soundtracks. Listen to the Big Fish soundtrack, in my opinion my other favorite compared to this soundtrack. It's completly different.

  • Very few will get this, but 1:20 sounds just like Bowerstone Market and a few other places in Fable. Go to 0:50 in Bowerstone Market! Crazy, right?

  • @Hisharu No, actually it's not really crazy at all. Danny Elfman had a hand in composing some of the songs for Fable. (Admittedly, most of the music was composed by Robert Shaw, but still)

  • lol, my brother is currently making cookies in the kitchen, and started mixing pink icing.

So I started playing this music.

    Now we can stop laughing.

  • @Treemeadow You should have played the cookie factory song XD

  • 5 players sent me!

  • I cry everytime I listen it. it reminds me of how sad the ending was... no matter what, tim burtons' movies always have a sad but happy ending, and I can't help but love his art.

  • I just downloaded this mp3 at instantmp3s..com

  • This song is very beautiful..... I love....

  • Tim Burton is a genius! This movie touch my heart, and almost make me cry. It's a fantastic movie.I realy love it!

It's one of the best movies ever!

  • @MissParamoreGirl this movies DOES make me cry, I bawl everytime Winona Ryder as the old woman is saying "before he came down here, it never snowed, & afterward it did. sometimes you can still catch my dancing in it." then it segways to Edward making the snow angel of her when she was young. =((

but I completely agree, Tim Burton is a genius, & this is one of my favorite movies!

  • I like the middle part at 120 which they used when the Avon lady arrived into his mansion garden.

  • I like to sing along ^^

  • It fits the main character so well. It sways with intensity, and it's light and dark at the same time. It just moves you, like Edward.

  • The movie was great, but the ending was a bit too rushed

  • This is really nice and magical sounding

  • I love the score of this movie

I love the movie and I love

    Johnny Depp

  • Masterpiece

  • Absolutely Brilliant

  • How can someone dislike this beautiful gift.

  • I FUCKIN LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!! :DDDD

  • It´s so beautiful movie... thanks to Tim Burton, Danny Elfman and also the best actor ever Johnny Depp !!! :)) ♥ I love him

  • I'm actully watching it rite now. It's the part where the old guy dies

  • @Dancetillyourdead88

    Vincent Price

  • i listen to this time after time , such a good melody

  • it was nominated with an oscar for beast makeup

  • cara é fudida a trilha sonora du caralho

  • In the name of Nora.

  • i can't believe the oscar's didn't nominate this movie for best musical score, i love this musical score and this movie, its so magical and beautiful, tim burton+danny elfman+johnny depp=masterpiece, edward scissorhands is still my favorite tim burton film

  • @lovelydiva06

Same. Except for me, The Nightmare Before Christmas and Edward Scissorhands tie for 1st place. But that's just me.

  • love this music :)

  • Danny Eflman is my favorite composer.

  • Love it!

  • I think Tim Burton and Danny Elfman to me are like the same person but one does music and the other does movies and when you put them together OMG!!!!!!!!!

  • @MsOldiesfreak

Tim Burton + Danny Elfman + Jonny Depp = ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

  • got a bit like. sleeping alone crying in x'mas day. dont you think?...I like it.^^

  • Jack Sparrow =D

  • It6 sounds so loveley... and loneley too... i like it

  • this song is so beautifu....so fantastic...so amazing!

  • mystical, grooooo weeh ooohsome

  • Listen to this while it's snowing, not the calm snow, the active, windy kind, the kind that looks better from the inside of a warm house.

  • Danny Elfman music makes me smile :D

Tim Burton made a good choice in hiring such an...artist.

    pure talent.

    epic win. ^_^

  • Danny Elfman is our modern day Beethoven

  • I remember my school playing this

  • amazing song!

  • i love this...

  • Such music makes my overactive mind very calm and happy and every time I watch Edward I can't stand up after it ends for the few minutes because of its overwhelming emotional influence.

Reality sucks sometimes and I like to runaway into such magical world then and I wish somebody loved me that much like Edward did :<

  • This movie is great !!

    :D

  • LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this movie!!!

It has one of the greatest soundtracks.

    EVER!

(well at least in my opinion)

  • Danny Elfman's work is so like the works of Debussy..REALLY

  • holy christ... i don't believe you just said that........

i've only met one person who ever knew who Debussy is.... and it was my Chorus teacher way back in the day who played it for our class, and when i asked ( 7th grade by the way ) she loaned me the cd.

but to compare Danny Elfman to Debussy.

i think you just became the number one bad ass of the year. i've never thought to compare the 2.... peace and respect

my user name is distractivate by the way...

  • Really? I've always thought of him a little closer to Tchaikovsky. Elfman has Debussy's emotional intensity, true, but his arrangements are much more internally symmetrical like a classical ballet composer.

  • Why yes, yes I am.

  • Wonderful composition and Movie!

I love movies like these...We need more movies that are "weird" and goes against the grain once in a while....Hollywood give us a break!

  • is a master piece

  • I agree with everyone else. So beautiful and it's a shame it was never nominated for an Oscar.

  • @tommyg4141 .....what??? it was never nominated?? the fuck...

  • @TalkingWithMeRADIO And thats why i dont like the oscars and rather support the golden globes...

  • i love this

  • i always like to descibe Danny Elfman's work as well as Tim Burtons work as "delightfully twisted" :p

  • Ahh beautifully said!! I agree!

  • muahhhhaaaamuhahahha!

  • @ChrisBclips Haha yes, but if you look at Black Beauty, you'll find that he can produce not only "delightfully twisted" themes, but magical and enthralling scores. :D

  • @myPerfectImage

ohh ill check that out then.

  • Everytime I listen this music, I remember when I was a child, and I went to the mountain.

I can remember seeing the snow falling from the sky, and after playing with it.

Things like this memories and this music are magic, pure magic.

  • I think that this is the best musical piece Danny Elfman's ever made! It's so beautiful and yet haunting at the same time.

  • Comment removed

  • Gorgeous, gorgeous. No words can describe the poetic melody surfacing from this musical score. Precious.

  • Wow this vid has the best audio quality I've seen yet.

  • simply amazing.

  • Edward Scissorshands is a great movie!!

  • This is such a beautiful melody that Danny Elfman created. 5/5 Pure poetry

  • This music can put me in a calm mood no matter what. Danny Elfman is the greatest.

  • aaah... ooooh ....

  • huh i thoutht this was by James Horner

  • he did Titanic.

  • i thought that was James Horner

  • It does sound a lot like James Horner, but alas it's Danny Elfman.

  • amazing song

  • this is soo danny elfman:P

you should listen to Birth of a Penguin, of Batman.. it has the same vocals etc:P

  • very magical masterpiece

  • x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33 x33

  • Well put.

  • This music has a waltz feel to it. It would be great for a sort of sci-fi/fantasy ball like the Labyrinth dance scene.

  • I could see that! Like some sort of icy masquerade.

    Love this movie! <3

  • it is a waltz

  • this is my favourite film ever!

use to watch it all the time as a kid.

the music is really haunting but i love it =D

  • I've seen this movie when I was a kid, and I never forget its impression on me

    very poetic and beautiful, thanks

  • Beautyful!

  • This is a beautiful track. I think Danny Elfman must've made a deal with Ali Project because in .hack//Roots OST, the track "Illness & Ruin" sounds very much like this track here from Edward Scissorhands.

  • I think Danny Elfman likes to borrow from classical pieces. Some of his tracks to The Corpse Bride, for instance, are clearly Beethoven. Maybe the tracks you mentioned and Danny both borrowed from the same classical composer.

  • Agreed.

  • is ist einer von 3 filmen bei den ich geheult habe...WUNDERSCHÖN...

  • i love this track

  • been a longe time since I saw this movie
