I was a teenager when this commercial came out and I had the biggest crush on the "Thin White Duke" actor. I'd come running when I'd hear this song play!

I miss that big sound system from the 80's.I was in pirmary school then and i was dying of happines when my father bought me one ,speakers were bigger then me.

This is such a great commercial. I still have it on a VHS tape from long ago and it's nearly unwatchable, and I've been hoping I'd find it someplace to get a good copy. Look at the neat dual cassette deck and the super high tech digital readout. The song is perfect for the ad and the 80's. From an era when Saturday night MEANT Saturday Night Live, SCTV, and Night Flight. Good times!

I was SO happy to see this commercial posted! I remember it when I was a teenager. I used to see it all the time during Saturday Night Live. Unlike Neatoparker, I never got to tape it, but I always remembered it and have never been able to find it on YouTube. It was always one of my favorite commercials! Thanks for the memories!

Thanks for posting this! It really brings back some memories. Sophomore year in high school. I captured this commercial on a VHS tape while I was recording a Miami Vice episode and I used to play it back all the time. Great times, great memories.
