though the safety feature would be, well safer, it wasn't required nor should parents rely on a feature as such for the protection of their children. They should be responsible parents and never leave their child unattended in the running vehicle, strapped in or not, and should set a parking brake on inclines. I wouldn't exactly blame it on chrysler. If you buy a base model and don't get ABS and ur in an accident that ABS could have prevented...is that chryslers fault? NOPE

Did I ever say it wasn't? You do have tunnel vision. I Said you need to look past the fact that sometimes companies do put out some vehicles that have faults. I had a GM before, It was good, but it had some problems in the engine, fixed it and worked fine. I have not had one problem with a dodge or a ford, and that was the only problem i ever had with a gm vehicle. They are very reliable. You need to understand that I was not dissing GM I was saying you need to look past the fact of only gm's.

GM's Are reliable, i've had one that wasn't, but that was an odd ball out of the bunch. Other GM's i've had have been very reliable. And Yes Fords are very reliable. I agree dodge does suck. we had this car and we had a cuple crashes in it , (none our fault)and this car performed beautifully ! we had a frontal crash and a rear , 1 was in the rain and the car did what it was suppoed to , the front crumpled well only the drivers side , it was an offset crash and the cabin was kept safe , we were hit by a huge i think it was chevy truck , an old one , they ran a red light and bam , we were all fine i think they were going 40 to 50 mph

As I was saying, I think that the government only tests side impact protection using car height barriers, not SUV height barriers. The government shouldn't bother testing safety anymore, it should just get the IIHS results.
