Oh, and you can't just spin a station like this to create comfortable artificial gravity. To be reasonably comfortable, not get dizzy and nauseous because of the spin, the diameter from center to floor has to be at least a half mile long. (The spun gravity concepts in 2001 and 2010 were entirely too small to be truly functional.) There is a whole field of psychological conditions and effects on the body due to spun gravity. (for example: if you walk one way on the "donut" you weigh more tha
There's no way they are going to get this done any time soon. Bigelow Aerospace has been working on a space hotel concept for over 10 years, and THEY actually HAVE hardware IN SPACE as we speak. Two of them in fact. They appear to have shed the hotel concept and instead seem to be marketing to research, but still, Bigelow is on track to launch the first fully privately funded habitable space station in 2015, and they REALLY could do it.
this question goes out too you people who have been around for awhile...how long would you guys estimate it too be before this becomes available for the middle class?
@gangstadubedition That is true, since 2004 Flying cars have been in production.. they are weeding out and technology keeps advancing. Look, billionaires have a lot of things they own that are not yet even manufactured for the general public. there was a lot of advancements in the decade of 2000. we are ia new decade. And it's still part of the 2000s.

@SmartAlx
Wait until after 2012 to see if they succeed and if not then you could make fun of them without looking like and ass.

Deeredman4 5 months ago
@Deeredman4 As of 2009 the cost to got into space as a private citizen (I'm only using the example of one person) costed 30 million USD.
At this point I'm wondering how long it'll be for rich people rather than the super rich/
So yeah...It seems as if it'll be a long time.
trinikagekavir 5 months ago
@Deeredman4 However, with the sudden reduction quoted in this video of 4.5 million USD then who knows?
trinikagekavir 5 months ago
@trinikagekavir ya...and I heard NASA just booted the space program...they are still sending probes up...but that's it lol

Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology:
(1) Why do we love space travel?
(2) Why do we want to have a space holiday?
(3) Why do we enjoy to stay at a space hotel?
(4) What will be your best entainments in a space hotel resort?
(5) What will be your favorite food in the space hotel?
TAHNK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)
