Oh, and you can't just spin a station like this to create comfortable artificial gravity. To be reasonably comfortable, not get dizzy and nauseous because of the spin, the diameter from center to floor has to be at least a half mile long. There's no way they are going to get this done any time soon. Bigelow Aerospace has been working on a space hotel concept for over 10 years, and THEY actually HAVE hardware IN SPACE as we speak. Two of them in fact. They appear to have shed the hotel concept and instead seem to be marketing to research, but still, Bigelow is on track to launch the first fully privately funded habitable space station in 2015, and they REALLY could do it.

Look, billionaires have a lot of things they own that are not yet even manufactured for the general public. there was a lot of advancements in the decade of 2000. we are ia new decade. And it's still part of the 2000s.
