  • I tried this but my polish dried when it got to the water, making it so it wouldn't spread. Also my colors kept mixing. Do you have any suggestions for me??

  • @BritzFin for both issues you may simply have to try using different polishes. not all brands or even individual polishes work well with water marbling. make sure you use one that's Not fast drying.

  • will it still work if you do not use a base-coat? please answer i would like to know! (btw love your nails)

  • @Alexcutspie do you mean base coat or the base colour? The answer is Yes for both. but if you don't use the base colour it will turn out looking different because the white background helps the water marbled colours be more vibrant. :)

  • Soo hard to do

  • @g4bz99 it definitely takes practice and trial and error with the different nail polishes. but once you get it, you're good to go :D

  • I like your work. But .... Why don't you protect your nails with scotch?

  • @galinatsygankova I don't like to do that because it's a waste of tape. An alternative is to apply cuticle oil where the tape would be. So when you pull your finger out of the water you can simply wipe the polish off your finger and it slides off easily because of the oil. (I don't remember if I actually did that in this tutorial or not. )

  • Love this!! I have done the marbeling to my nails with aqua black and white, bcuz my pink and yellow I hav seen to fade in color when they are dropped in the water! :( but still love the idea!!! :D

  • all that for just one nail? i dont have that patience man!

  • @jokk12ify you can definitely do more than one nail at a time. (I usually do 2 or 3 at once. but for tutorial purposes I only did one in the video. :)

  • @Miss80Million thx for telling me i'll try it :)))))))))))

  • omgshh woowowow never knew this!!!!! :))))) thanks soo muchh its going to loookkk soo cute withhh hottt pink and aquaa andd silverrr :))) yayaa ily

  • Mine never works.

  • Cool! But, you must use a LOT of nail polish at once doing that.

  • can you water marble with 1 color?

  • @Tweetybirdlovescandy with just one bottle - no. but you can definitely use one colour and a clear polish. just make sure neither of them are quick dry polishes b/c that will make it much more difficult.

    good luck!

  • @Miss80Million k thanks!

  • that's the easiest and best way to show the technique .. i tried it b4, only one nail worked and got all the rest messed up :( will try using ur way n tips ;) thanx .. any special tips?

  • @lova521 I agree with you! I tried it with tape and I didn't got a spot on my finger! Cool video anyway

  • next time you should put tape around your finer it helps a lot with the clean-up afterwards ! but i love the colors and your vids (:

  • Is there a specific type of water? Like.can it be bottled water?

  • Do you know if this technique can be done with the UV polishes like Axxium or Shellac?

  • @SurfieSays Actually I don't know. I don't use those kinds of polishes, but I would think that as long as the polishes float on the surface in the same manner and can still dry under the UV lamp it should still work. I'm curious about how easy the clean up would be around your cuticles though. I would definitely recommend taping them. (it's not my preference but you may want to) :)

  • Scotch tape will help with the clean up

  • I love these tutorials !!! friggen awesome =)

  • omg!! ty, that was amazing!

  • Your cup is super clean!

  • @fierceincluded lol. yep. i don't do water marbling that often.

  • TIP:If you put scotch tape on your skin around your nail you wil not get the excess nail polish on your skin.

  • Lol best comment ever twssXD love it lol

  • That's what she said XD

  • I like how u didn't use any protection

  • Vous metter de l'Eau coment?

  • like if you think that the purple looks like dark blue XD

  • why it doesn't work for me ? :( Damn it i tried it 4 times and changed the water but doesn't work :'( *cry* The polish doesn't spread i get just a point :( !

  • @EmimixChoco me too! i tried it a week ago and i got frustrated with putting on tape to just get the polish on my nails, then i took it off and i just trried to take it off when i put my finger out of the water…..i still have some polish on my nails lol im a disaster

  • I love the colors you chose - so bright and cheery. I'm subscribing!

  • @dollcina thanks so much! :D

  • @dollcina i did the same!

  • What did you use to spread the polish once it was in the water? cause when i try to spread it it just dosent work.

  • @swetamohanty24 I used a dotting tool to create the marble effect. you can use anything from a dotting tool or a pointed orangewood stick, or a pin or dressing needle. it just takes practice.

  • I can never get the water right!!!

  • I've tried like every nail polish. And doesn't spread like that.

  • @ampupthelove it's probably more about the water than the polish. first though, fast drying polishes don't work well. as for the water room temperature is best, but try bottled water or different temperatures. just keep trying. it takes practice to get it to work properly. :)

  • mine doesnt work can u please tell me tyhe kind of nail polish ur using like the name of it

  • @cinderella17viki info box.

  • do we have to prep our nails...?

  • Pretty..(;

  • Special water? Or just normal water?

  • @zandii26 normal is best :D

  • amazing :))) hope i can do this technique ;)

  • Cool!!

  • @Miss80Million nice video! Heres a tip: use tape on your fingers so it wouldn't get all over your skin and u would be able to dip your finger down deeper and get the design better! -3

  • Put tape so dnt get the polish on ur skinn:)

  • Finally! Some short nails!!! The other videos have fricken long nails!!!

  • How do u clean up your skin around your nail's that get's the paint on them?! do u clean it really carefully with nail polish remover, or do u put something on your finger's to keep them dry?! cause it looked like u didn't have anything protecting the skin just dipping it right in their?! That's really cool though.

  • @JenMag5 I applied cuticle oil around my nails. that helps the polish just slide off when I wipe with a q-tip. lots of others put tape around their fingers too.

  • do you have to use that base colour? cuz i cant find it at the store

  • @108payne of course not. I just happened to have that color on. I like white as a base color b/c it makes the colors pop. any white you have will work great. :)

  • wow so cooooooooooool

  • OMG!!!! so awesome!

  • I Love It

  • hehehe your "bye" sounded very evil!

  • Do you have to use an orange stick to clean up the excess nailpolish? Anyone can answer.

  • @kelcieya no. just something to pick up the excess polish. you can use a tooth pick, q-tip, or pencil... lol.. anything that works for you.

  • I've tried it two times and each time it don't come out right. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Does the water have to be a certain degree, like warm, cold or hot? Certain nail polishes or what?

  • @HotTnGirl69 it's definitely trial and error with both the individual polishes as well as the water temperature. use room temperature water, try to work quickly, and avoid polishes that are fast drying. hope this helps

  • @Miss80Million Yeah, that helps. Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.

  • @HotTnGirl69

I heard the it has to be room temperature and it shouldn't be tap water it should be filtered or bottled water.

  • @SuperHockeygoalie Oh ok, thanks for letting me know that. I been listening and watching some and I don't remember any of them saying anything about not using tap. Thats what I been using, so that might be the problem. I'll try what you said, thanks for the information and help. I really appreciate it. Hope you have a nice weekend...

  • 1. Does this use more nail polish than if you normaly colored your nails?

    2. Can i put 2 or 3 fingers in at the same time?

    Pleasee answerr anyonee :)

  • @Paulina98Piano I think it does use more nail polish - especially if you do one finger at at time. But yes, if you're not picky about the pattern, you can dip in several fingers in the water at once. :)

  • @Miss80Million Thank you very much!

  • WHAT??? I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE! sorry for all caps but this is so amazing! i pretty much was watching this with my mouth hanging open. seriously.

thank you thank you thank you ::runs off to try this:: !!! <3

  • @MalinaHeart lol.. you're welcome! I was pretty amazed the first time I saw water marbling too :D

  • @MegaRedHead22 i usually just wipe it down with a cotton pad and some polish remover and use it again for more marbling later

  • cool. I need to try this.

  • Or is this product just normal nail polish you have used ?

  • @Boudica999 it's just a regular brand of polish. not all polishes work well for marbling though sot it's mostly trial and error with each bottle.

  • I lov this i've not seen it over here in the UK but i sure will look out for it

  • pretty! I want to try this!

  • i havent once had any success with marbling, it always ends up in a big goopy mess... you make it look so easy that i might try it again :)

  • u should do more of these...dang! lol!

  • @jaelinjanae hehe. thanks! I try but i'm still trying to find the right colors to work with. like many other people, it's tricky to find the right polishes that water marble well.

  • @Miss80Million oh u cant just do random colors?...oh lol

  • @jaelinjanae you can, but you'll probably find that some polishes work better than others.

  • @Miss80Million oh okay

  • are the nail polishes that dry faster bad for watermarblind

  • @eliasaprice yes. they make water marbling much more difficult.

  • that was amazing....

  • lsdhfljkahsfdlkjha;sdjhf THIS IS AMAZING

  • I love Pucci-licious, gorgeous color

  • cute nails=)

  • Beautiful. But you did not use tape. Now you have to clean alot

  • so pretty, wanna try it but i know it's not gonna be easy.

  • @mermaid30019 It takes some practice but it's fun :)

  • beautiful :)

  • so glad to see someone finally use normal room temp tap water and NOT filtered water!! and oh...you didn't tape your fingers as others do also....which I LOVE that you didn't!

    awesome job :-)

  • @sassaad75 haha. thanks :) I don't have regular filtered water. and i don't like using tape b/c it feels wasteful, and i feel like i'm always gonna mess up my mani by taking it off. :) glad you liked it :D

  • Very pretty!!

  • I love this! I love the colors u used!

  • so thats how you do it! Ive been wondering how the heck do you do that!

    THANKS A LOOTT!~

imma gonna try this now! =D

  • @gellichan09 you're welcome! good luck!

  • love the colour combinations! I also like how it was short and sweet :)

  • What a lovely change, so nice to see you doing some marbelling :)

  • @IndigoNova1 haha. thanks :)

  • I love it.....as always :))))

  • super bonne combinaison de couleur j'aime bien

  • @edwina97240 merci!

  • Lovely colour combination! Isn't it wise to protect your finger with some tape before dipping it in? It saves a lot of time as you don't have clean so much...

  • @ohfaciq it is. I don't usually use tape. I don't like having to carefully peel it off. ususally instead i will apply some cuticle oil or vaseline on my finger instead. so then the polish just slides off my finger. :) (I don't remember if I did that for this video or not - that's why I didn't mention it)

  • @Miss80Million I recommend the scotch tape. It is easy to peel off and it doesn't leave any glue residue on the skin :)

  • Love this, great marbling! I finally got Popstatic color club...they are so pretty! thumbs up!!

  • @JaeMarie2008 thanks Jae! yeah. those colors are fantastic for summer! :D

  • I love water marble (though I not really good at it & still need to practice !!!) I think it is really funky with these colours =)

  • Great color combination!

  • @Dollface22772 thanks Dolly!

  • Whats the best top coat you use thats less than 6 bucks, im starting to hate my seche vite

  • @ForTheLoveOfFatLabs the best drug store top coat that I have used is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in ''Invisible'' I found that it was almost as thick as seche vite, would in my opinion makes more shine! :) ps - it's like 3 bucks total. ;)

  • @ForTheLoveOfFatLabs I've heard Sally Hansen's Insta Dry (in the red bottle) is really good. not sure if it's under $6 though..

  • so bright and perfect for summer :) liked ;)

  • i cant do this things! when im puting the nail polish drops i put one, then the next one and by the third one the first and the second one are dry, and then i tryto do the design with the tool its all dry so i can move anything, sad

  • Beautiful! great colours.

  • great color combo! perfect for summer!

  • mine doesn't spread...

  • I've watched tons of these water marbling videos & you are the first one to actually say where you are planning on putting your finger in the water. It's nice to know what you are going for. Thx for that. Turned out great!!

  • @lllelly316 hehe. thanks :)

  • so pretty

  • ive tried water marbling before.. i failed LOL

  • @missxbebeful yeah. it's tricky. it all depends on the individual polishes that you use. as well as the water.

  • Gret color combination!

  • beautigul colors, love them

  • @simran34 *beautiful.....oops

  • You make it look so easy....love the perfect summer colors too.

  • Love the colors!

  • Super nice!

For sone reason water marbling never works for me -.-

  • @TallDoll0265 try filtered water or bottled water... I like to use the water i get in my 5 gallon
