wow, you were right. her voice is just as gorgeous as Colleen's work with EP. also, i think i've heard this song before. i'm gonna find their albums. thanks!
@Dukky Ah, there you are! :) *All* their albums are great...my personal faves are "Pubic Fruit" and "Gift"....many great tracks on *all* of their albums, however. Happy to turn another person on to Curve! Enjoy! (Toni Halliday and her ultra-sexy voice hehheh) ✌
I was 14 when this came out. So awesome to hear it again. I also remember that the lead singer was voted one of the most beautiful people(in london/europe) around that time. This just brings back sooooo many good memories.
@shock1974 I disagree... CUCKOO (which is what it was called) is a better album than Doppelganger, cos the tracks were less samey and explored more sonic extremes. Atter that they went ferociously uncommercial with Come Clean (NIN-territory even, but that to me was no bad thing!). Curve got better the more obscure they became - by the time of "GIFT" in 2002, people had ceased to care but they missed out on their best record by a million miles - every song good enough to be a single.
Yes, indeed a pretty good album. I saw them open for The Cure in '92 in Detroit. Went out the next day and bought this album. Their follow-up, can't remember the name at the moment, wasn't quite as good as Doppelganger... and after that I never heard of them again. Shame... one of those bands that sorta got drowned out by the Nirvana / Pearl Jam grunge attack of the early 90s.
I bought this album when it came out, and I remember when I went to pay, the clerk was the prototypical snooty too cool for school guy. He said hey, that's a great album, and I thought he was complimenting my taste, so I said thanks! And he said, why? you didn't write it... hahaha..

@busterabcat ....well said!! +1, I agree completely...each release got better and better and "Gift" is quite possibly their crowning achievement.
