@DonaldPHsr I can tell you're a good man who cares well for others and that's great. I hope you are filled with an inner-strength that bring you the JOY we need to over-look the crap-hardship we face. Look up + be cool.
I just heard this song tonight for the first time in my life - on Outlaw (Sirius radio). I instantly fell in love with the song. Wow! I saw these guys last summer in Ortley Beach, New Jersey. What a great show. I wish they had done this one now though. hehe! Maybe next time!
Never tire of that fiddle in this great tune..... When I play this album in my car on long trips I just repeat this AWSOME tune for about 200 miles then finally move on to their othr great tunes!!!! CALDWELL BROS were both irreplaceble musical geniouses..... RIP FELLOWS.
Easily one of the greatest southern rock bands of the 70's. Toy you are deeply missed, but God has a great guitar player beside him now. Thanks to everyone in The Marshall Tucker Band for giving us such sweet joy. God bless you all.
@vlunney My 2nd show was right after Tucker/Dead that October in 1977...Frank Zappa halloween night at the Palladium in NYC I was 13yrs old I still have the stub...I miss those days!
IRREPLACEBLE GOD GIVING TALENT!!!!! I miss going to great concerts to see GREAT BANDS like MTB and ALLMAN BROTHERS and many other SWAMP MUSIC and COUNTRY ARTISTS.... thank you for posting.... Only true MTB and COUNTRY MUSIC lovers know of this AWSOME SONG>>> THANK YOU AGAIN.
"You got to be a fan of the Marshall Tucker Band, before I'll sit down and have a drink with you" -Lynyrd Skynyrd, When You Got Good Friends Like These
My favorite song by these guy's. Toy Caldwell amazied me playing a guitar with out a pick. It broke my heart when I found out he crossed over, But their song's will last thru out eternitey.
i had the where we all belong album with this on it and it was a favorite, i loved everything these guys did, even got to meet them 2 different times. MTB forever!!!
Irreplaceble !SWAMP ROCK yes but dont be fooled every single one of this guys were TRULY musical geniouses from toy and his Bro and the rest of the band were MASTERS..and you can't just replace folks like this. They come few and in between. Watch toy play on the can't you see video and what he does playing with his thumb only it's INCREDIBLE. I play and trust me when i say that is a bad ass man how he plays with that thumb. If you dont play you won't relate to the difficulty of what he is doing
Partying in the sticks in South Arkansas back in the day. My favorite band. The wife's an Okie and never heard of em. It's different now. This is her favorite song.
Toy used to come out and jam in clubs in Greenville, SC in 76 and 77, just sit in the back and play, many times no one knew he was there many famous people came out to play at times, he'd invite them, those were the days
Grew up listening to these guys. Pure and simple, just plain sweet music. They just don't make bands like this anymore. And the Caldwell brothers were awesome. This is my favorite song by the MTB, and they had so many great songs. Thanks for the post.
@caf697 I wasn't implying that "I can say without a doubt" was a song..I was taking a line (that is repeated several times) from "In My Own Way" to indicate that "In My Own Way" is my favorite song by Marshall Tucker Band. Listen to the song and you'll see what I mean. Thanks.
