Back in Korea, there were cockroaches... everywhere... in our houses (apartments I guess).

At night, 12:00, my dad would wear boots and turn on the lights, then stomp on all cockroaches he sees (there are lots).

next day, he turns no at 12:00, no cockroaches. He turns off and turns on again at 1:00. Thousands of cockroaches.

Damn they are annoying, but are pretty clever.

Fungi does this, so does all the other animal kingdoms. Even the trees undergo cellular respiration. It's not just human beings maintaining this mutualistic relationship..

I wasn't talking about only humans, I was talking about animals as a whole. Without animals, plants would have to only use cellular respiration. They only use this when they can't meet there needs like in fall or winter. Cellular Respiration is a small part of chemiosmosis and without animals, they would not be able to yield a substantial amount of energy and more of a sub-par amount which would slowly cause them to die.
