Wow, replying to a comment 3 months old, real cool. And, yes, I like Battles. They're out of my heavy rotation in my iPod right now, but, Cephalic Carnage will NEVER make it on. Gimmicky noises? Come on, it's called texturing. I've had people do papers in class on Battles because of their technical skill, as well as electronic manipulation. EVERYTHING is done with instruments though. No little button pressed synth noises. I bet none of these guys could play one handed guitar and one handed keys.
