  • How much was the total cost for converting it into a 4 wheel drive? I'm planning to convert my 2005 chevy Colorado 2 wheel drive into a 4 wheel drive.

  • 4WD with a locker and that will be nice.

  • what did you use for your 2wd to 4wd conversion, was inchwormgear's coversion or did you just use a stock toyota tranny for a 4wd??? I have a 99 TRD Tacoma and a good friend of mine has a fab shop and I'm ready to start chopping things up:)

  • stock toyota 4wd tranny, now with dual cases.

  • Cool I'm thinking of going that route with my tacoma but I was wondering how good the 2wd to 4wd trans conversions are all I've heard has been good things... so far.

BTW keep up the good work I really enjoy all these Hmong video's.

  • the conversion is as good as the installer. get someone who knows what they're doing and you'll be good.

  • Would this mod be alright/easy to do with an 08 Tacoma Pre-Runner?

  • yes but why would you do it to such a new truck? cost is about $2-3k. i assume that there is still a car payment on an 08 so why chop it up?

  • there ISN'T a car payment on my 08, and because it's a tacoma, it's gonna be my trail rig. in a 3 years i'm getting a tahoe. and i'm gonna use the taco as my trail rig.

  • wow, i don't know anyone with an 08 thats paid off, nice man! anyway if you want to mod your truck, anything is possible if you have the cash.

  • thanks! we actually got it used for a GREAT deal which is why i'll probably be using it for a trail rig! we'll see, I've been told with the number of people switching to the SAS front they are just throwing the old IFS front 4wd parts out, and if i could pick up some of that stuff i could get everything done for under a grand. i'd like to see how my friend does his first to decide if i wanna risk it, because i still have to drive the truck another 3 years! haah

  • it depends on what you planing on doing with it? if me,,, dana 60 front, stock yota rear.

  • Hey Ma, what do you recommend for tacomas owner to run for front axle? I heard from other different tacoma owner, the run DANA 44 and some has DANA 60. What do you suggest?

  • toyota solid front with long fields.

  • that's a 2wd toy truck. can this be done and is it worth it? can the chassis of that 2wd handle the punishment of a regular 4wd? how much will this cost.

maybe someday, i will turn my 4runner into a 4wd. mine is a 1990 still in good condition too. looks tough just like a 4wd but it's a 2wd differential set up.

  • i'll post the the finished video when i get it done. the 2wd can take anything you give it, granted that you have made the necessary support. cost is around 2-4k just to get it to 4wd depending on the truck. for you maybe 2.5k. honestly though i would just go buy a 4wd then go from there. they already had all the parts for the truck, hence the conversion.

  • you might be right. thought it was a good idea though. i'll keep checking for your finished vid.

  • FAG!!!

  • you're a bitch. mod probably raped ur ass hence ur name.

  • i forgot...e-thug.
