In 7th grade I was enter into the 8th grade art class at middle school given my talent for drawing. The principal, a man with a heavy lisp, approved this, and helped me break the news to my PE coach - the class I'd be leaving. His word choice was a bit odd, he said "Chris is artistic so we're gonna give him some special attention and let him join the art class." With his lisp it sounded like he said "autistic." The coach's look of worry was somewhat amusing, but damn that was an awkward moment.
