  • holds bricks together ~ mor-tar

  • Though some of the information is not entirelly correct, I think you did a good job!

It's a sad thing most of the kids down here can't appreciate it

  • @chrizzle3124 : May I suggest you read "All Quiet on the Western Front" by Erich Maria Remarque - a German veteran's take on the war; or even "Gunner Depew" - by Gunner Depew - an Englishman/Frenchman's take on WWI; or any of hundreds of real - ink and paper - books written just after the hell of that war. Even for an 8th grade level effort, this is a poorly researched and written joke. Read, think, and watch about what really happened, then comment - dumbasses.

  • a mortar is very deadly and was used in world war 1 quite offten.

  • m1 garand??

  • Pretty good

  • However, they played a primary role in the success of the allies and thus, were extremely necessary." Jeez, this sounds like some 8th graders class project. Disappointing take on the Great War in which neither side could be said to have won.

  • to all those oponents of clear speach.

would it make you feel better if he said mur-mur .

  • and then world war 2 happened becuase of this sigh

  • Gas in the later war? gas was used first time in 1915

  • Honestly, what is this kid doing, an animated m1 garand in world war one, oh and by the way, word your scentences a little better.

  • MOR TAR

  • Is this video being narrated by a 5yr old? o.0 And exactly when did someone managed to will an M1 Garand into existing and have it be able to have a musket bayonet attach to it during WW1? Must have been the same guy to invent the Mor Tar, this guy must have been brilliant.

  • MOAR TAAR

  • @ele90

    MOAR TAH lulz

  • LOL. Did you get this information from a trolled page on wikipedia?

  • not to forget the trench club! they were effectively used by both sides. Wooden club with metal objects on the tip. Nails, spikes, etc.

  • yes they did use machine guns but you can't honestly think that they were used and made for trench warfare bec the y were many years before such like the civil but not used in them then. I love history and world war one and world war 2 are the most exciting to learn about. world war one with it's domino affect and ww2 with its taking after world war 1 but i do say that world war 2 was a near loss sadly. gladly tho the triple entente if they were still called that one not the Nazi's.

  • My favorite hunting rifle today is my old Springfield 03, 30-06. Very accurate rifle. Beat the crap out of it and still plugs'em good.

  • 1. Infantry were armed with; rifles in the main, a number of hand grenades, sword/knife bayonets (except French Lebel), light machine gunners (varied per platoon/company) Both sides used specialist weapons such as machine pistols and sub-machine guns, flamethrowers. Also toward the end some were armed a bag of grenades. In late 1917 rifled grenades (ancestor of noob-tube) as well as 2 man portable machine guns to carry forward.

Artillery caused more deaths than machine guns.

  • More Tars? I don't know, you sound like you're too young to smoke.LOL.

  • m1 garands? 18th century bayonets? more tars?

  • M1 garand in WW1? Nope. Mausers, the German rifle, springfields, the american rifles and lee-enfields, the english rifle

  • not to mention the civil war bayonet that followed it, and a more-tar? lol and artillery caused more casualties than machine guns

  • M1 garand?lol!

  • An M1 Garand in WWI - really, LOL !!

And what on earth is a Mor-tar - pretty poor effort.

  • LOL sounds an alien. Greetings earthling...I am Mor-Tar. take me to your leader

  • Stop smoking weed moron. Nothing wrong with his voice.

  • @saltfan2 I never made fun of his voice. I only made fun of the way he said "mortar" like "mor-tar".

    YOU stop smoking weed, moron.

  • @WinchesterRanger mortar is like artillery Germans made it

  • AND THE FLU KILLED! NOT THE MG'S!

  • WTF?! GARAND! SHOTGUNS! MOR-TAR!

  • that rifle is m1 garand, used by america in ww2, not ww1

  • Oddly, the Spanish Flu killed more troops than any of those weapons. More fighting men died from illness and infections than gunshots, poison gas, or fragmentation.

  • shellfore killed the most in ww1

btw some of these facts are incorrect

shot guns ir trench guns were american 1917

and they use british stuff helmets and rifles

1918 the spring offense germans had light machineguns

  • M1 Garand?? Are you kidding? But seriously, I love the mortArs part. well done

  • short clip lee enfield more me

  • LoL

    mortArs

  • Its not mor-tars its Morters, Pernounce it morters, not Mor-tars.

  • You sound and look like you could still brush up on WW1

  • moar-tars

  • 0:30.........bad weapon. M1 Garand, ww2.

  • 0:29

  • mortaaar, ha

  • when the stormed the shot gun would be ausome

  • nice try but soldiers werent armed with m1 garand rifles.

  • Good effort. Research more. Review the comments, as the majority are valid. It's the way one improves oneself. You uploaded a piece, where most would never dare.

  • i hate the way his says mortar

  • lol kid you know nothing man. :D

  • dudeif they had a M1 in WW1 and the shotgun lol

  • americans wernt in world war1 they will be saying they won the battle of britain next!

  • remember beliu woods the marines earned theirselfs the name devil dog up on that hill!!

  • iam not saying americans troops werent brave.

  • you don't really know what you're talking about do you?

  • not bad. was this a school project? and isn't it amazing the kind of nutty comments you get on youtube? I mean, "two shiny shitts"? anyway, good work.

  • wasnt the bayonet u showed a version from the American Revolution

  • you sayed mortor wrong...its just mortor not mor-TAR

  • good job...only the rifle you showed was the M1 Garand...the US only had the Springfield 1903 then

  • great job but... the bayonet is the wrong model for the time

  • Lol they showed the morser karl too.

  • Nice job kid, 5 stars

  • gas is horrible, it's like acid to your lungs. peice by piece you start cougthing up your own lungs...

  • MORE TAR MAN, I NEED MORE TAR!!!!!!!!

  • lol

  • Other than the rediculous allied bias as the end good video...

  • there were no real "allies" in this war! the englishmen & frenchmen were just as bad as the germans!

  • i like the video its great for a kid.

    RANDOM INFO time :D

its just a cool fact, i think not many people know this, as they wouldnt imagine up close war in ww1 on western front, but it happened.

in ww1, after u capture the enemies trench, not all of them will run out to the next trench. they would have set up maces, axes, hammers, etc.. the soldiers even used their hand held spades (small shovels)

Americans like to use the Trench Gun, a power ful pump action Shotgun

  • Quit being so hard on the kid! It was a good video despite some flaws. There's worse stuff on You-Tube.

    Good job!

  • this video fails on every level.

    fuck you kid.

  • wow, you fail at life, and every part of it, stupid loser, leave the kid alone, what the matter with you, jelous fuck.

  • fuck you lololol

  • says the 14 year old cunt who loves classical music? lawl. WTB a life for you plox, kkthxbai.

  • whats an m1 doing here? ww1 ended in 1917 but the m1 was standardized for service around the 1930s

  • 11:11pm on 11/11 1918 I think you mean pal

  • what are you talking about greatunwashed? tht didnt have to do with anything i said

  • ww1 ended in 1918 at 11:11 on the 11th of the 11th? i thought everyone knew that pal

  • u replied to me talkin about the M1 Garand. i dont see u talkin about wut i said. but yea i did kno ww1 ended at 11:11 on the 11th of the 11th

  • im sick of getting pathetic emails about your shitty comments fuck ball

  • ok what ever i didnt realize we were fighting if you didnt want this then dont talk to me you punk ass faggot.

  • you'r clearly not very clever pal 'cos if you were you would've read what I wrote and said "oh yeah 1918, sorry not 1917 at all" but you didnt and started banging on about an M1Garand again. I dont give two shiny shitts about the fuckin gun, I wansn't disputing that pal, im sure your right. At least get the basics right when posting. And if your gonna insult me do it properly

  • u kno dude im done fuck this

  • wtf is a mor-TAR

  • a mortar launches exlosives into the air, on a curve trajectory landing on the enemy.

good for getting the explosive over hills, and other objects blocking direct view.

  • he means he said it wrong

  • i no, im just being stupid.

  • Mor-TAR ? ? ? XD

  • dumbass nobody had a m1 garand and another wepond in ww1

  • m1 garand?????

  • LOl mor-TAR

  • artillery accounted for most deaths in ww1 not machine guns

  • and mortar =P

  • artillery, mortar and machineguns were all very effective weapons during world war one but machinegun was the mostdevastating weapon, artillery was not as effective because it was horribly inaccurate it was mostly used to try and soften up the enemy defences by knocking holes in barbed wire then the infantry would run ahead. But ussually there were only a few holes in wire so the men often had to march single file right into enemy fire.

  • ok, man

  • mortArs lmao!!!!!

  • ok first of all your facts are all blown to hell 75% of all WW1 casualties came from shrapnol. Which leaves the other casualties to rifles and machine guns. You had one primary weapon not 2 this isnt call of duty. And maybe a pistol if your a luck NCO or if your an officer. The rifle u showed was an M1 Garand witch didnt enter service until 1936. The average German soldier was equiped with a mauser GEW 98 rifle NOT A SHOTGUN.

  • wow kid sounds like an r-tard when he says mor-tars. lol hahaha. go maxim machine guns!!!

  • It'd be a bit different, but not much; Russia and the US were major power houses destined to come out on top no matter what. If Hitler had been at the Somme or died there, I would imagine the worl das much as the same, except much more accepting to right-wing/fascist/nationalistic ideals.

  • listen to how he says morters

  • terrible video. its done all facts are wrong.

    1) weapons in world war 1 were not weapons of mass destruction. weapons of mass destruction arwe atomic bombs and such

    2) the rifle at 0:31 is a M1 garand. this gun went into service in 1936

    3) all troops did not have shoutguns. its was only the americans who brought them in late in the war

and lastly, learn to say mortar propally

  • NECESSARY? What a ridiculous conclusion. The Germans were no more barbaric than were the "allies", an entirely self-serving epithet. What a shame you came to such a simplistic conclusion.

  • what would have happend if the germans won would it be better ?

  • It would be HELL to this day

  • No, it wouldn't be hell. Germany was really not any different from France or Britain at the time. Just a different language, really. I mean, Kaiser Wilhelm II was the Queen's nephew.

The Germany in WWI was imperialist, just like France and Britain. It was also the most racially tolerant nation at the time, per capita. So, it's safe to say that we would not be speaking German, as the Germans were not speaking French by the end of the first war.

  • Where you're getting the notion that Germany was/is evil is beyond me. I, and every Historian, can't see how their winning the war would be Hell.

Hitler rose to power becuase Germany lost the first war, and was in such a shitbox becuase of their screwy economy. They'd inflated their economy to compensate for a lack of physical Deutschmarks, which was a dumb move.

  • Hitler rose up because he preyed on the weaknesses within society. He gave answers to the people's questions, whether or not they were the right ones, it doesnt matter.

Point is, the 'evil' Germany came out of the end of WWI, not the beginning. If Germany won WWI, I would imagine Europe would be much the same as it is today.

  • Imperial Germany had no wish for world domination. And with the Empire still intact, Hitler would have been a simple radical that would have been smote by the might of the Kaiser(who was dethroned after the war for losing).

  • If anything the British were the most barbaric. The Germans always said that the British were lions Lead by donkeys

  • I no the king and kaiser were related, and it would be hell because they could make all the non-european countries imperial to germany.

  • Well, if all the European countries were in the German Empire, most of them would have been better off, honestly. Besides that, there wouldn't be much of a difference. It would most likely be like the EU is right now, 'cept with a King/Kaiser/Emperor, and Deutschmarks instead of Euros.

  • good point

  • u obviosly have no knowlege of the first world war, they were imperialist then not facsist if Germany wasnt forced to negotiate an armistist during ww1, and they had won the war Hitler would have never came to power ww1 and ww2 are not 2 separate wars just a mear continuation of the same war.

  • Uh, yeah I do know about ww1, I can write u a whole document and it and it would be accurate, and also, i focus on the air fight in ww1, than that of the ground, but I DEFFINATALY have knowladge of ww1 on the ground

  • You're fucked. Go read a god damned book, or at least Wikipedia.

  • im fucked ? right because i said one thing wrong you decide to be on your period ,seriously get a life

  • lol my bad

  • RIP

  • actually arty caused the most casualities

not machineguns. machineguns were killing them en masse though

  • R.I.P THE

  • some historians say trench warfare actually started in the american civil war

  • hey good video short and to the point

  • Wow, Trench guns... never head that they actually used them in that war...

    RIP :(

  • the machine gun didnt cause the most deaths it was arrtelly

  • well artillery did cause a lot of deaths but more men did die from machine guns because more men were in the open and the germans or allied didn't open there artillery on the men they just shot them.

  • yeah but artillery killed 66% of men in world war 1

  • Nice vid alittle wrong at the start of WW1 "Trench warface" was used to hold for a advance/ and or defence against troops and cannon fire . this soon changed with the advancement of early day tanks and bomb dropping planes and by WW2 only a few times was the same type of trenchs were used with great losses since then only "Foxholes" are used

  • is that u talking and why ould u say ur own ivid is amazing ur cool

  • how can you start by saying revaloutionised warfare war can not evolve its barbaric

  • barbaric as it may be the method in which we practice war does evolve

  • fuck off tehabc

    this video was amazing

  • You fuck off

  • I can see you don't know alot about wapeons, First of all when you said rifle, you showed a M1 carambine =(ww2 wapeon), 2nd when you said bajonet you showed a wrong one, a world war 1 bajonet looks alot different. And a last thing, the shotgun was very limited by so far as I know.

  • the point of this was??
