  • @jamesklyne Yea I wasnt talking about a centrifugal... In my opinion those suck

  • Music for ears !

  • @MrKarush @V8Supercar1 both are great but usually most consider turbos to be better, but fact is that the supercharger starts working better off the and in lower rpm's... a turbo from time to time you can get turbo lag but they are great in higher rpm.... if you had a supercharged 5.0 vs a turbocharged 5.0 both running lets say 10psi chances are the supercharger will win off of the line but in the long haul the turbo will win... turbos add more power also

  • @MrHighFlyer45 Only if your talking about a positive displacement supercharger. Otherwise centrifugal superchargers are the worst (not talking big ass novis here though).

  • @jamesklyne Worst what? You sound like a fucking idiot. Brb telling procharger they suck. L-O-L.

  • @jamesklyne hahahaha that coment makes me laugh.

  • @jamesklyne Centrifugal supercharger tend to run much cooler than positive displacement blowers, they're also the most efficient at blowing air. For every psi (on the new 5.0) from a centri, you get 24-25 hp.

  • love it

  • does anybody knows which is better supercharger or turbo?

  • @MrKarush: Personally I like turbos better because they are lighter than superchargers.

  • @V8Supercar1 Umm, no.

  • @jamesklyne: turbos are not lighter than Superchargers?

  • That had to be one of the sweetest exhaust notes to ever come out of a mustang. (and there have been some awesome ones)

  • Why do some people get Auto Muscle cars, woudlnt that take the fun outta the car? I mean my step dad has a 2011 cobra, and being in the car it seems more powerful if its standardd...

  • Gotta love those 5.0's.

  • Impressive numbers for only 6 psi!

Might have to make the 6 hour drive to Houston for this. Have y'all dynoed it at 10 psi yet?

  • I saw the video, drooled all over. Went to the website and saw the price

$8,995.00 ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME?! If that wasnt enough only the hot side is stainless steel. For that price it should be gold plated titanium. Holy crap! Hellion it is... wow.

  • that is a scary vehicle...just beast

  • Now they make 544 HP stock

  • @SuperchargedMustang5 only in the boss

  • @SuperchargedMustang5 and its 444

  • This might be a stupid question, but the turbo means it's a diesel car? Or it is just the petrol version?

  • @oltifromhungary no, the 5.0 is a gas motor. While diesel engines are more often turbocharged from the factory, a gas engine can be turbocharged just as effectively.

  • @parker770 Thanks for the answer!

  • Gnarley!

  • what size turbo and a/r? and what other mods do you have done?

  • @twogunsblazin can too if the s/c moves more CFM @said 6psi...I.e turbo moves 550cfm@ 6psi S/C moves 630cfm@ 6psi. It's possible basically.

  • Lol 543 rwhp haha you can get 580 with a vortech s/c and no turbo spool needed also more reliable and better sounding....

  • Comment removed

  • @W4TCH4W you can't get those kind of numbers from a vortech supercharger at 6 psi....

  • @W4TCH4W turbo = no parasitic HP loss. (not belt driven)

and the vortech is basically the same thing as a turbo... you get the most boost at higher RPMs... it's just belt powered instead of exhaust powered.

  • thats fucking awesome. u only did the exhaust and a tune when u put the turbo on?

  • 8 cops watched this vid.

  • Why dont you get a bov guys, will save lots of money...

  • This shop has NO IDEA how to correctly plumb a turbo system. You hear that cool fluttering noise the turbo makes when the driver gets off the throttle? That is called COMPRESSOR SURGE and it is BAD. That sound is the compressed air trying to go through the turbo BACKWARDS. The way these idiots have connected that turbo will destroy the bearings in it very quickly. I'm only an amateur tuner and even I know that they've made a rookie mistake. It's called a BLOW OFF VALE. Try using one you morons.

  • @DrunkenMessiah 100% agree, i dont even know with cars, but i know enough to distinguish that fluttering as compressor surge. that will rape this engine... plz use BOV...

  • ever one who likes ford is a bitch

  • @gallardowilliam Looks like someone loses to a ford every time

  • @loadedlover12 yea if im walking

  • @gallardowilliam Chevy needed to be bailed out of bankruptcy. Ford didn't, EVER!

    FORD 1 Chevy 0

  • @loadedlover12 where talking about cars not money

  • @gallardowilliam he's still got a valid point!

  • @loadedlover12 i have a mustang logo hanging off the back of my vette dragging on the floor whats that tell you

  • @gallardowilliam vids or it NEVER happened

  • @gallardowilliam That you're a fanboy with too much time on your hands....lolz

  • Sounds sick

  • 8 people have a honda civic

  • you can polish a piece of shit and its still a piece of shit

  • @gallardowilliam dont talk about chevy like that....:D

  • @msandonato23 fuck you you lil sand nigger

  • This just made me want a hair dryer instead of a whiner!

  • 7 PEOPLE STILL DRIVE WITH A SUPERCHARGER JEJE

  • Price???

  • I drooled watching this! :D

  • awesome. is the 6psi ok to run on a stock block if so i want this lol

  • 7 people have tiny dicks and like punny engined foreign cars..

  • at 6 psi of boost, that wouldn't even harm the engine, sick!

  • yeap the noise is fuckin' true

  • What size turbo was that and what was the exhaust a/r. Looks like it spooled fast

  • @digiam42 looks like the leanest it got in the vid was 13.6

  • sorry but a turbo on a muscle car does not seem right. id rather keep it N/A and get heads, cams, headers....etc.

  • and he didnt do anything to it! besides that. do a little bit of motor work and you will be around 500 befor you turbo then you will be around 700+

  • I cant get over the sound of this engine in the mustang OR the f-150. It's just awesome. Somebody should make a ring tone for it.

  • cant wait to see what numbers people start pulling out of this engine with turbos and superchargers and what not. 543 hp to the wheels at only 6PSI is quite alot.

  • idk why but i think turbo+muscle sounds better than supercharger

  • Did somebody hear Andy Griffith

  • Dyno pulls need to be in 5th gear ladies.....

  • @LMBC6Brian Thought the 5.0's come stock with a 6speed now?

  • i wanna hear / see a cammed / exhaust / header 5.0 like your camaro... then I would forsure choose the new stang.

  • O.M.F.G simply awesome.

  • Okay I'm not a big fan of mustangs.. But thats Fuckin Sick !

  • a lot of hate for not bogging the engine down with another belt....

  • Watch a video of a 5.0 burnout fail on my page, I'm not sure why it failed, I'd appreciate it if you guys could provide useful feedback :)

  • turbo on a stang=gay just saying

  • Turbo is fuckin eww man

  • Do y'all plan on running your 5.0 at the Texas Mile anytime soon?

  • Top speed?

  • @Knezicdex - dunno, never been able to max it out...

  • @fastlaneinc- how much does that setup run for????

  • @fastlaneinc - what's the exhaust setup??? best sounding 2011 i've heard yet !!!

  • @Knezicdex who cares about the top speed? besides you and nascar lovers.

  • @TDavis5O I do and I bet A lot of servicemen stationed in Germany would as well. :D

  • What can you say? Dearborn is making a very capable car right out of the box. Forced induction is just icing on the cake! Motor Trend posted up a video of a stock '11 GT vs. an M3.The only real complaint they had was that the shock valving was a little soft, but the only category the lost to the M3 in was fastest lap around the track time..the BMW beat it by .09 of a second, for $25k more.

  • nasty5L

  • @ELSLVY818 they take away some but twin scews dont take no where as much as a roots style sc but also keep in mind turbos feed off exhaust gasses so you are restricting exhaust flow. plus superchargers are instant throttle response

  • Very Nice Mustang

  • dude, with those numbers, you're in Shelby territory

  • 6 PSI and 540 ponies; that is NUTS. Well done!

  • Thanks for posting this, very nice.

  • can this be done on a 2011 f150 5.0?

  • @delunajaime Yes, but pretty sure you wouldn't need it.

  • @victim1z3d why not?

  • @delunajaime Because it's already fast and it would worsen your fuel economy . Unless you plan on towing very heavy loads the stock engine would do.

  • 7 people dont know the meaning of true muscle ...oh man this is nice...

  • shes a beauty even with her shirt

  • I love that sound! Awesome numbers too guys!

  • So could you tell me what the cost of this kit would be? I have been looking into doing the 5.0 in my 2000 GT and haven't decided if I want to go this route or go with a built 2v and S/C.

  • Just 6 psi guys, JUST 6! Imagine 15! OMG 700hp?? It could even go higher with a proper build, my Grand National goes 15psi factory stock and makes only 317rwhp with minor bolt ons;)

  • How do you know your car is too loud?

The people at the shop have to wear ear muffs to dyno it..

  • Oh my... that will beastly!

  • nice!! how long would the manual tranny that comes with them stock hold up with a kit like this...If its not ragged-out??

  • mustang warming up for dinner......whats for dinner....a CAMARO!!!!

  • Subscribed for build up =]

  • Please do this to a Boss motor with a raised revlimiter and show us a dyno graph.

  • Are you f*cking serious? That has to be one of the best damn sounding modular engines that i've heard in a long time. Good job people, really good job. Can anyone tell me where i can get some cams? Not so much for high RPM strip but more for mid range torque cams. I would personally like to consider all options before snatching them out a f150

  • @Marshmallowrex and I wasnt being sarcastic, please dont think I was

  • @Marshmallowrex hmmm good question. I really dont know. Maybe this turbo spools quicker but flows less? I think these guys sell turbo kits. Maybe they are marketing them conservativly to keep people from being dissapointed? Maybe the dyno was a touch off? Maybe they ran it in 4th instead of 5th?

  • @Marshmallowrex you gotta realize the powerband though..

  • I wanna see them do a 1000 horsepower setup.

  • i got a new gt for my bday and i ordered a garret 74mm package for it and we expect it to make these sort of numbers. i know this makes me sound like a complete arrogant douchebag but its a long story. anyways, what sort of things do i need to do with the internals?

  • @gampon63 - hahahahahahaaaaa... if you say so...

  • @fastlaneinc i know so, ahah kennebell Mammoth 2.6 yessirrr!!!

  • @fastlaneinc what are you going to do to overcome the high compression ratio. anything over 8 or 10 psi you will be running on borrowed time. the motor comes with a pretty well built engine anyway. are yougoing to add even stronger parts or try and detune the compression ration around 9:1. i think that would be a pretty reliable and powerful set up. 12 psi and a 9:1 compression ratio in the 5.0

  • @gampon63 hardly, turbos can make much bigger steam then superchragers, and they dont require power to run them

  • @2strokedetroit yeahhh and your car be lagging, put your car next to me car, my car is burning tires as soon i step on the pedal, and yo car still waiting for the turbo to suck that lil air in. yepppp!!

  • @gampon63 first off I dont have a car. Diesel trucks. Notice they dont turbo diesels? More power and can make it more efficiently. Plus, twin and compound turbo set-ups have VERY little lag

  • @2strokedetroit IDGAF!!diesel trucks, wtf are you watching this video then, notic its a mustang not a truck. aha u knw so much nd dnt evn have a car. first off Single turbo givs higher power.Twin turbos produce a lower boost threshold nd hav more things that can go wrong. twin turbo applications go for big numbers. mostly cause 1 large turbo is goin to flow more cfm's than 2 smaller but upgraded once in most cases. ths is y whn u see a supra or skyline wit singl turbo instead of twins, much faster

  • @gampon63 dude chill. stick with whatever you like. I am working and saving up to buy a pushrod 5.0. After the input of my buddies, youtube, and some forums, I think I am gonna go single big turbo. Yes, I know this is a dohc 5.0 with TiVCT, and understand my results might be different. I want a 95 cause I like the look of the sn-95 and I dont like the 4.6, and you can get the 5.0 in a 94 or 95. I get you dont like turbos, but a turbo'd stang is just as good as a supercharged stang

  • @2strokedetroit aight

  • @gampon63 sorry if that seemed attacky, but Im tired of people saying I dont know anything just because of my age, or say my parents buy me everything, which simply isnt true

  • @gampon63 and yeah Im only 15. I still understand I have alot to learn. But like I said I have seen some turbo'd stangs that kick ass. I've got a truck (300 I6 ford, if you know anything about trucks you know thats a damn good engine) and I have driven many diesels. I work on a farm as a farmhand and an apprentice at my dad's shop. Oh, dont go calling me a kid who's parents pay for everything. I worked for my truck and am working to buy the parts to fix it, while trying to save up for the stang.

  • @gampon63 superchargers are less efficient than turbochargers. Superchargers act sorta like a water pump or alternator off the engine... they use belts and pulleys to drive them which puts drag on the engine. Turbos use waste exhaust gases to spin a turbine which is a lot more efficient. Though a main downside to turbochargers are their turbo lag.

  • @jtpoundcake yepp aware of it, thanks for tell me

  • @gampon63 Turbocharger > Supercharger

  • @97MKIV ahah i like that > enough said

  • @gampon63 That isn't true it depends on what your aiming for as far as what you prefer. From what I have seen turbos tend to make more hp at higher end rpms cause you have to spool the up and S/C's make more bottom end hp and trq.

  • @Cheetohead24 what kinda car you got

  • @gampon63 My car isn't S/C or Turbo but I have a 00 GT Conv.

  • @Cheetohead24 manual? and what were you saying that's not truee

  • @gampon63 Yes it is a manual plan on some mods this summer for it though. College sucks up your money lol. You said that the S/C always beats the fucking turbo and I was just saying that isn't always true.

  • @gampon63 omg you dont know shit about engines...supercharger works with the engine's crankshaft via the pulley which rotates the supercharger and thus lowers engine's efficiency...turbo just works with engine's emissions..NO supercharger can beat a turbo..both forced induction ways have their drawbacks..

  • @PL3690 shut your bitch ass up, supercharger is generally considered to be a better method of forced induction for most street and race vehicles. The fuckin Superchargers generaly provide a much broader powerband tht most drivers are lookin for with no "turbo lag!!" nd they are much easier to install nd tune!!Shut yo ass up! Both superchargers and turbos do have distinct advantages and disadvantages

It actualy depends on the vehicle, your power preferences, and your needs.Supercharger is better

  • @gampon63 broader powerbands can be achieved with twin scroll turbos and lag can be minimized..And in the original comment you said ''everybody knows that supercharger beats the fucking turbo!''. Well smartass fastest car in the world is turbocharged (bugatti veyron) and no matter how hard it is to setup each type of car, in the end turbocharged car will win..And that is all because of the parasitic effect the supercharger creates to the engine..so stfu

  • @PL3690 supercharger no matter what!!!!!!!!. and i more boost and power, stil have the advantage of install a turbo with it. Yeah twin turbo thats all u can get, and nitrous and high octane gas. having the supercharge is other advantage. And what kind of beat up car you got.

  • @gampon63 not really

  • @reasonabledoubt102 you dont even have a car, so shut that shit up!!!!!!

  • @gampon63 u right i dont have a car asshole i drive a truck......... a 2004 ford lightning that has 450rwhp.........so u can suck on my nutz u probably drive a miata numb nuts go fuck yourself loser get out of your moms garage before u decide to talk shit on the internet

  • @gampon63 <--- this guy knows NOTHING about turbos

  • @turkishkidd22 <---- this ugly fuck! dont even have a car. and Who gives a flying fuck about turbos!!! Already know supercharger kills that turbo of yours!!! and i would love to race you

  • @gampon63 your a fkin idiot!

  • @TeHwAy2b shut your stupid retard dumbass dumb fool loser ass fuck retarded bitch tool gay jack fuck fucktard annoying twat dick cunt tard dickhead faggot fuck wanker dummy dork imbecile ignorant shit dipshit lame silly prick nerd slut douche bag homo bastard pussy whore dumb ass fail fucker crazy funny face looking ass up!! you dont nothing about cars. muthafucka

  • @gampon63 Most superchargers can't pull these kind of torque numbers this turbo kit is doing...

  • @qwiksillva bullshit i dont know where u been gt500s are seeing 900whp from the twin screw blowers and even more from the prochargers

  • @thevettedude66 First off, you're talking horsepower... I'm talking torque. There's a difference... and also I'm referring to the ratio of torque to horsepower. I'm not referring to the highest known torque out there to exist. Also GT500s are not the same engine as the current Coyote 5.0. So using a GT500 as a reference is not really valid... you're just making yourself look pretty stupid or just showing us you couldn't to piece together what my comment meant.

  • @gampon63 keep dreamin kid

  • @gampon63 lol. Hey you sound like me.. I love the sound of a supercharger but the stats show that turbos provide more horsepower.

  • @mynamesnick1 ahah idgaf what the stats say, supercharge will always be!!!

  • @gampon63 Well said! It's a shame to turbocharge a pony like that.. Supercharger FTW!

  • @gampon63 super chargers just dont have boost lag, and you can tune out boost lag on a turbo and with turbos there way more room for adjusting your boost

  • @gampon63 in acceleration maybe but in top end turbo will walk all over a supercharger!!!

  • @Dieselboy805 not true it depends on the tuning and what type of super charger. there are so many down sides to turbos and roots styles are much easier to maintain. i prefer super chargers over turbos for V8 but a turbo works much better for a smaller engine.

  • @gampon63 in the dream u had last night?

  • @gampon63 wow what?.....you are a trollish idiot

  • yeah so what. I got a 1986 Honda accord. 2 door baby. with the original tape deck. I think it's got like.....120 Horsepower, baby. That's right. BALLER.

  • make any turbos for the ford fusion yet?

  • Im making 440RWHP and 490RWTQ on an 09 with minimal mods, how much does the turbo kit cost? Also have you blown it up yet? I know that Roush performance needs to add a few things internally as the internals on the new 5.0 are not as strong as it was on the 4.6 of the 10. Anyway, my total cost was 5 grand, option on purchase with warranty.. M90 Roush supercharger kit, 2.57mm pulley, 90mm Idler pulley and a larger MAF sensor... I make 8psi and get those numbers with less weight then the new 5.0..

  • not to bad on 6 psi i wondr about 12?

  • did you guys ever turn the boost up more?

  • you have any idea if this will work on the 2012 boss or any reason that it would not and if so how do i get in contact about getting one and installed thanks

  • There something about hearing a turbo spooling on a v8, will be going this route when i decide its time to take the F.I. plunge.

  • Just curious... Was that Brake HP, or Wheel HP?

  • @JayGeePee1 - 543 RWHP and 521 RWTQ (RW = Rear Wheel)

  • @fastlaneinc~ what did u use to change the Cam timing for the turbo application?

  • what octane?@fastlaneinc

  • @fastlaneinc just curious but how do you plan to overcome the high compression ratio of 11.0-1. thats hard to put a lot of boost on because its really hard on the motor. Are you going to replace the pistons and give it lower compression. thats why you made so much power on such a small amount of boost. im just wondering how you guys plan to overcome that issue since its the same one everyone else struggles with.

  • @JayGeePee1 Is it possible to measure brake on a RW dyno?

  • i just came !

  • It does sound like surge but it obviously isn't. If you dont know the difference between a BOV sound and compressor surge, dont look at turbo videos anymore
