  • does boreing .30 over give you a power increase worth the time to do the rebuild? If that makes sense...

  • @liftedreds10 No, each bore only increases the engine displacement by a couple cc's. Almost zero difference.

  • Is the ring gap set recommended for wiseco rings??

  • @Sandeep9201 Not sure but it says on the instructions for the pistons I believe. I leave that up to the company that does the work on the cylinders, they do good work.

  • I just bought an 86 RZ350 and I'm going to rebuild it this winter. I'm thinking all the principals will be the same as the Banshee minus the frame stuff...what do you think? Also if I go with a +4 mil crank do you think it will still rev as high as with stock stroke? Thanks

  • @ironDsteele Revs tend to be cut down just a HAIR but the power becomes much more useable. The 4 mill definitely flattens out the power curve a lot and makes the quad much better to ride. If you do a RZ rebuild i would definitely go with the stroker and gear it up a tooth or two in the front... Itll make highway riding a breeze.

  • Nice video man but u should cover your open crank in case u drop something down there i've done it before its a nightmare

  • @scotterinsam Good call.

  • Did you did it out of pre-maintenance or did your Shee broke down?

I was riding in 6th gear when mine broke down, and now it won't start and it's really hard to kick. Just change the pistons?

  • @MrTunerboy11 I just ran it till it wouldnt start anymore. You cant just change the pistons you have to get the cylinders bored and honed for the new size piston.

If its hard to kick that means its prolly seized and you need a new top end.

  • @jlsparky7 Yes, probs need my cilinders honed. But if my cylinders aren't damaged and I buy standard-size pistons, they don't need to be honed?

  • @MrTunerboy11 If your cylinders still have the cross hatching and the piston ring gap is within spec then just buy standard pistons and you should be fine.

  • @jlsparky7 Great, thanks! Going to find out soon, hope the damage isn't too big.

  • @MrTunerboy11 Np man! Keep me updated no how its going.

  • @jlsparky7 Sure! I'll post a vid if the engine is rebuild

  • @MrTunerboy11 Awesome!

  • @jlsparky7 Well, i took my engine appart, and the right piston had little duts on it everywhere, so took it completly appart and found small pieces of iron in my bottem engine part, so need to change the conneting rod, pistons and change the crankshaft bearings. Not really happy with it :D

  • I've got a question for you; when u say grease all components whit 2 stroke engine oil, is that mean the same oil that i use to mix gasoline with? or any other specific oil ?

  • @knigt4321 Yes, the same oil you mix your gas with.

  • Great video!! You make it looks so easy!!

  • @FORDKIDD Thanks man! It is really easy, keep everything clean and lubed. Use proper torque specs and your good to go! Thanks for watching!

  • is there any gasket glue that go around the head goin onto the cylinders when u are u using and oring head

  • just bought my first banshee cant wait to do this in the winter

  • @AlmostInfamous1 Awesome! let me know if you need any advice!

  • how much does it cost to replace a rod bearing on a shee?

  • @Kinkryder8 Lower rod bearing till run you about 700 for a new crank. No way to just replace the bearing and a new crank is about the same cost as rebuilding your stock one. If your top end went with it itll run you right around 800-900 all together.

  • could i clean my whole head or cylinder or JUG if your goofy with carb cleaner. or does it fuck up the nick coating

  • @staticxmako Carb cleaner is fine to use :)

  • That was great man....I do mines the same way & it works perfectly...one little flaw that you mentioned.....You said it was bored .030 over & the piston was a 64.50. That's only .020 over......lol....but overall the build was great man. Should help out alot of new banshee builders.

  • @reekhood My bad man, its .0030 over now though! :)

  • Great video!

  • @Mrkoebel87 Thanks a ton! Glad u like it :)

  • great video man seems like u did it perfectly.

  • @kraden18 Thanks man. I usually put a lot of time into my projects. Really glad you appreciate it. :)

  • Right on bud. Should help the new guys out!!!

  • @savage420bansheeyo Sure hope it does!! Maybe save some people some money and teach a thing or two!
