in what sense are the casualties not punk..? theyre lyrics are all about the government. the vast majority of their songs are chaotic and follow the common 3 chord progression a lot of punk bands do. There are shit loads of true punk bands out there, like The Casualties, Angelic Upstarts, even The Blood Brothers (hardcore punk). Punk and emo will never die, and neither will metal also.

Real punk bands didn't talk about how PVNX they were, and and frankly they didn't have the amount of hair spray and hair dye that typical posers punk bands do. Am I discrediting them as a band? No, not at all. In fact I do enjoy their political themes but there is nothing truly punk about them. Also they obviously dont make their own merchandise.

Well I don't know too much in-depth about them, but I don't recall, out of all the interviews I have watched from them, them ever talking about how punk they are. I could be wrong, but this is my opinion too. I know the looks aren't everything, but cmon, did you look at the bands Jimmy likes? A few of them are punk, the rest are just Pseudo-punk. XD

I watched a live solo on youtube from when they were touring that abortion of an album "American Idiot" and it was basically the same two or three notes over and over.
