I love AFI and Morrissey... I hate when bands cover anything Moz but there has only been 2 exceptions. AFI's cover and Colin Meloys "sings morrissey" is also great. To the person below me... No one... NO ONE can do a better version of an original.
I'm not a Morrissey fan but I am a very solid AFI fan. I listened to the AFI version and found it completely unimpressive. Where is the AFI sound? The wall of sound guitars? The cover is very boring.
