  • fellow nigerians, it's not as easy as it sounds. if you watch or listen closely, you'll find that some (not all) those pidgin programs are contrived. the "language" is still forced. it's complicated because we still have our native languages. we need to promote these as well. the language flows when you're hanging out with friends, bargaining for deals, etc. but it doesn't work in all settings.

  • This is pretty cool. Glad to see one of the most used languages in Nigeria - the one that connects Igbo, Yoruba, and Haussa - is no longer being shunned by the "official" media.

  • let the govt make pidgin an official language lets be proud that we are africans and we have our heritage lets not make english a forefront language pidgin was a form during colonization we communicated with the brits
