  • Awesome song!

  • wish i would have seen them around this era. i just saw them about a month ago... chris stands there with a guitar the whole set... BUT they do still play all kinds of old songs. i would pay over and over to see this band.

  • God I miss these days. Almost twelve years later and the only listenable album to come out since then is In Reverie (and Ups and Downs), which is one of the great pop albums of that decade in my opinion. *sigh* Too bad there isn't a full set from this show. Remember seeing them on the first Vagrant Across America tour, in Philly and DC. Aaaah, memories!

  • STD at their finest. New stuff is just diluted. Good, but not saves the day. And Chris' voice sounds awful now. He used to belt it out.

  • god this was the fucking glory days of saves the day

  • Love this song! I love the intro with the guitar and bass. Just wwwwwaaahw lols

  • WoW! Hell Yeah! Love Saves the Day! Been listening to a lot of STD, Hey You!, The Get Up Kids, Green Day, The Offspring, and No Doubt...MORE PUNK IN 2011

Hey You! is still pretty new, but they're waaaay dope. Cool edge, and cute chick singer too :-) ...you should check em out

search "hey you band taking over"

  • love this. awesome

  • about 70 views are from me!!!! I love saves the day i mean this my favorite type of music

  • back in the good old days... sigh.

  • Sux Chris gas crohns disease

  • this was senior year. such good memories of these shows

  • 1 person looks pathetic tonight.

  • 30degreeseverywhere love that comment man now its a bunch of stupid kids looking like aids

  • Chris is a legend!

  • wish they wouldve kept this sound and attitude and shit, chris sounds so girly now

  • Ahhh brings back good memories. Too bad there wasn't youtube 11 years ago. Would have been cool to find all these live vids back in the teenage years. Saves the Day was always my favorite, still have thru being cool mp3s on my phone :)

  • this was it... its all different now. the musics different, chris is different :( saves the day was my life. i wish it could all go back to how it use to be. why did it have to change?

  • God, I love this.

  • aah the good ol days. through being cool. man what happened seriously...

  • @Spaz8000 There new albums are awesome, if you are a fan of that type of music. I am so I tend to like their newer stuff more, but still I love the first 3 albums, Can't Slow Down, Through Being Cool, and Stay What You Are...are just amazing!

  • Ted ur the shit....dancing and playing the axe. good Sh**

  • I saw this tour in Santa Cruz, CA. They go into a car accident on the tour somewhere. Chris's arm was in a sling, and he could barely hold the mike. The bassist's front tooth was busted in half. They were all injured in some way, but it was one of the best show's, to this day, that I have been to.

  • i gotta say i think through being cool was my favorite album :)

  • Great distraction and great vide0!! thank u web movie tube

  • This is awesome.

  • really amazing, thanks for uploading.

  • 90s party play some good old music.

  • fcking amazing!

  • best video/song/performace on youtube of STD HANDS DOWN.

  • I love old and new Saves the Day, I don't think I would enjoy every album if they all sounded like this, change is a constant, change is good.

  • i like the fact that chris doesn't just hand off the mic to the crowd to make them sing the entire song (ahem, hayley...)

  • those were some sweet dance moves that guitarist was doin.

  • wearing the same shirt as he was in shoulder to the wheel music vid lol

  • @Jasondnga i wish i could give this comment more than one thumbs up ahha

  • wearing the same shirt as he was in the sholder to the wheel video lol

  • i'm 15 and chris/std are one of my heroes. people think i'm weird for liking "old music like this", but i don't care at all. most new bands in the rock scene are terrible, i must admit.

i met chris last sunday, and it was one of the greatest moments of my life.. so far. he's such a nice and genuine guy.

    awesome video.

  • he sounded way better back then...i just saw them last night...just wow..cant believe this is the same person i heard last night

  • wow, in this video he is having a low tone in his voice very natural, now he sings very high, always hurt myself when singing in the car lol

  • @cano3d He sings very very high now and that is why I don't like Saves the Day.

  • @heyyagoobles Yeah, do you have any idea why he does that? Trying to be more mainstream? It's annoying.

  • Chris Conley > God

  • Chris Conley > God

  • this was back in the day when punk was just punk, 90's where white t-shirts or black shirts and all the punks were just your average jo and now we all gotta wear skin tight pants and all black or super high spike hair to sand out, fuck i miss the days... when simplicity was the best way to go. so fuck it i went metal, but i love to listen to all my old favirotes, for me, punk died when afi wen glammy and gayish on the radio, fuck em tho right.. saves the day is still badass right on!!

  • @deadfordays Dude, I wouldn't say punk was just punk then. I mean Sex Pistols fans were dressing in tight clothes and tall pink mohowks since the 70's. Underground punk, bands made up of teenagers playing in their garage are what made up the average Joe's of the 90's. Bands like that are still around, you just have to know where to look.

  • the former lead guitarist is my brother and he hates this song..

  • @basement78 so? Sorry your alleged brother doesn't like the song. He apparently has not an iota of taste.

  • @basement78 the tall one?

  • i love this band for so many reasons, 1 def being from my home town, 2 one of the few bands who ALWAYS had fun playing their songs and looked at performing as it is, a fun time, not a money maker.

  • chris's dancing is so rad

  • STD is still pretty the best

  • hes always been an artist...maybe he doesnt want to go around head banging at age 30.. all their albums are awesome in their own way...

  • This here, THIS is what it's all about. What happened to you Chris?

  • hes an "artist" now.. saddest part is all the new guys in the band want to do is play the new stuff but all the crowd wants is this chris

  • @ExUSSailor Dude don't say shit if you don't have a clue. He didn't write both albums by himself. Chris played all the instruments on can't slow down and Sean left the band before through being cool was even done. PS stay what you are is an amazing album.

  • @tdlwn Bands are always at their best during the teen angst years.

  • hahhaha 1:31 the guitarist's sweet dance

  • i was in the hospital for 2 weeks with acute kidney failure and the only cd i listenened to was through being cool. i dont know what it was, but it got me through. thanks STD!!

  • @eyesewnopen

    Through being hospitalized

Sorry I couldnt resist :P Good to hear you're alright!

  • You had kidney failure from an STD? nasty.

  • @poona83 read the comment again you stupid fuck. i hope you have acute kidney failure.

  • @eyesewnopen Yeah I was joking matey, but I hope you get kidney failure too... oh wait, 2 late lollllll

  • Just because it is so sad. get over yourselves and just enjoy STD. You won't change anyone nore their opinions. I also know that most of you won't give two shits of what I have to say. But some of you on here need to get a life and stop making YouTube comment wars and putting other people/their comments/opinions down. Later Tater.

  • I'd say that STD is the most controversial band lately. Every time I listen to songs on YouTube everyone is putting someone else down about what they like or which album is the best. OK everyone, we all have our opinion on which album is the best. Does it really matter? You really need that much attention to log in to YouTube and bash someone else's opinion? It doesn't matter. Just listen to the music. Everytime I see these comments I stop myself from commenting.

  • yeah! we all know that through being cool is the best album so why is everyone fighting. just grow up already. cant wait to see them march 12! woot woot

  • Sorry I happen to think Stay what you are is their best album!!!! But every Saves the Day album (well minus In Reverie and Under the Boards) is amazing!

Saw them in San Diego on the 29th and their line up now is freaking incredible. Best STD yet!

  • this brings me back. [ossome.]

  • banging on the door...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE mr hox...won't you tell your daughter i'm all alone? and i'm not handling this well

  • chris is amazing!

  • For all the kids out there complaining about TBC era STD being the best, I imagine you just have failed to develop your musical taste. Current STD like Under the Boards and Sound the Alarm is clearly more aggressive and better quality music (production wise and in the song writing). It might not be as blatantly emotionally charged but it's definitely more sophisticated and just as brooding. Obviously SWYA and In Reverie might have been departures from the earlier STD but does that matter now?

  • "failed to develop your musical taste"...???? what the hell is wrong with you? it doesn't mean somebodys tastes are underdeveloped if they're different than yours. go back to the mountains and stop bothering people

  • Comment removed

  • Yes! That is the greatest thing I've ever heard!

  • Damn straight. Glad someone agrees.

  • what are you talking about through being cool isnt aggressive?? im pretty sure songs like banned from the back porch, or even this song is way more aggressive then any later releases. its people like you that give STD a bad name. please do us all a favor and refrain from being a music snob. and as far as in reverie being a departure and that not mattering...it does!! in reverie was a terrible album. but thats my opinion. through being cool=best saves the day album to date. deal with it.

  • Comment removed

  • and you should also respect that other people have their own thoughts. so what if they think that tbc is a better album then swya or sta. shit happens, deal with it.

  • i do respect that. but these kids have no justification for their quasi-hatred of newer std. they blow off the newer albums because they aren't tbc. but why would you want a band to not develop musically? it doesn't make sense to be SOO into a band and then abandon them through their development. i do deal with it. but i'm tired of the same cliched arguments from nostalgic, fair-weather supporters of my favorite band.

  • Woah woah woah, In Reverie was a great album.

  • Nothing can give STD a bad name

  • That Hamilton shirt he always wear.. Does it stand for Hamilton College?

  • is that the same shirt he wore in the shoulder to the wheel video?

  • a band has a great record and then the lead singer gets really skinny? rock and roll sure is strange!

  • I'm not sure what you're insinuating, but Chris (the singer) has Crohn's disease. Look it up. It has everything to do with his weight fluctuation and the change in his style of singing.

  • man, Chris was so skinny in the STWYA days compared to the TBC days.

  • who cares? it's still the same person.

  • I love chris's voice here... what happened? I miss old STD :-(

  • yup saves the day was cutting edge and had their own sound. always imitated but never duplicated. god these songs bring me back.......

  • this was back in the good ol days before people started wearing bright flashy-colored t-shirts and before the music scene became saturated with bands that wish they were as good as saves the day.

  • Comment removed

  • DAMN FUCKING STRAIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • four year strong? set your goals?

  • @30degreeseverywhere

i dont wear bright flashy-colored- shirts and all thats stuff. i still love music like this and listen to 90´s alternative internet radio stations all day long :)

  • @30degreeseverywhere

i couldnt of said it better.

im 22 and i feel so old! i just dont get music today..i really dont

i miss the good days when saves the day, nfg, get up kids etc etc ruled the fuckin world.

  • @30degreeseverywhere Please refer to the punk rock scenster handbook, "7 Seconds, young till I die" Let me know if you have questions or concerns. Did they grow up, or did you?! MOOOHAHAHA!!!!!

  • @30degreeseverywhere well, std at first was a lifetime copy as well

  • I think it's their best line-up ever, and "Through being cool" is their best record,it was all downhill after "stay what you are"

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah well maybe the bside album was good too.....but when they started changing around...I dunno...they kinda lost their got a little slower i guess

  • yeah guess they grew up...personally I like the old STD a lot more, but I sure can appreciate their later songs as well. But if I could choose, yeah, I'd definately have the old STD

  • love this song!!

    love SavesTheDay!!

    fucking cool gig!!

  • man this was the best era for these guys, still love them though. i was like 13 when this video was shot wow, i had saw them for the first time like 6 months after this at jones beach, so awesome

  • I hope the next album is like Through Being Cool.

  • The good ol' days .... where did they go?

  • What do you mean?

They practically JUST came out with another album.

    Check out their myspace.

  • Haha, I know that. I meant where did the "good ol days" go. I know the band is still around :)

  • Ah I see

  • word.

  • someone needs to post a good quality version of this song.. i dont even care if its the album cover.. old Saves the day was the best

  • Dude, this is probably the best version out of any.

Them playling live is so much better.

  • Comment removed

  • I'm so disappointed I missed them yesterday.

  • i miss the old school saves the day.

shitt, i miss old school senses fail, blink 182, and the early november.

they ALL need to be brought backk.

    (:

  • true that.

  • No use with Early November.

They broke up 2 or 3 years ago.

  • THIS is the Saves the Day that I remember =]

    Sooo good!

  • this looks like such a fun ass show

  • i have to watch this vid once a day every day! :D

  • this is kinda the only song i like by them, but thats ok cause its sooooooo good

  • old school.

  • quite possibly the best performance ever.

  • i watch this video at least 2 times every day

  • old school saves the day was the shit

  • Best Saves the Day lineup ever!

  • cant even tell its chris

  • Chris is Jersey's best dancer

  • trying to sound like lifetime is what made the first record so good, he should have never stopped

  • Exactly! Their first album was remarkable... Almost sounded like Dan Yemin was in the band or something. The whole East Coast hardcore scene is fucking amazing man... I'm from Long Beach and I wish I could get my band out there because I think it would do far better.

  • i just gooed.

  • "let's dance"

    :)

  • i'm pretty sure this is the best video on youtube

  • wow huh LOL . chck out my profile for more vids. W

  • best.song.ever.
