pulley was frozen or welded on tight. couldnt take it off so i took off pulley out on the other end and bent the belt guards to slide belt in. video really helped me out. thank you very much. it good to know that some people are willing to help out. have a good day!
@TheGuitar1952 I'm not really sure. A lot of these mowers are built differently. Maybe it just has to be wiggled around or knocked loose with a hammer, it may be stuck. Sorry, wish I could help.
We did it!!!! Thanks again for the video. We did it on a very old craftsman. model #: 502.254970. didn't have to detach the spring. removed some bolts and pins under the battery to get the belt around the big pully in the back. It took two of us though. One getting the tools and holding the light and the other doing the work. We did it!!
nice vid. bro. i changed mine yesterday, now i done it on my troybuilt bronco. and it was way easier than this vid. but it is nice of you to post your help to those than need's it. all i did was use a motor hoist land lifted the rea end off of the ground. didnt have to remove any panels at all just undone 3 scews holding the rear pully in place chocked the dive tesioner. and put the new belt on. toolk 15 mins tops.
lol, best thing about this video is the woman who appreciates your hard work so much! I know the feeling. Wish my dad could still fix things. This time it's up to me. Thank you for the video. :)
I'm not sure. I only have experience with my own mower and even then I had to Google everything. Sorry I couldn't be of help.

@cdapplegate1 Congrats! Glad you were able to do it without messing around with that blasted spring.

Thank you for the video. I thought it was impossible but I guess at least you can do it. We are still struggling with ours. Thanks again.

nice video, thought I was the only one with one of these. I'll muscle it over the last pulley after work. Thanks!
lketchersid 11 months ago
did you have to take the pulley (the stationary one by the tensioner pulley) in the middle off? not much clearance to get the belt threaded.
lketchersid 11 months ago
@lketchersid From what I remember, I didn't take it off. I kinda just had to thread it through and muscle it over that fan pulley.
