Im sorry but i dont agree with gays in the military.. I did 5 years in the army and served oversees.one day me and a few battle buddies walked in on two men having intercorse in one of the group tents in Iraq. I think im a pretty bad ass but this really troubled me. I dont mind that i was exposed to death and warfare because its part of the job.But seeing two gays in action is not something im ok with. being gay is a decision and not a special type of person. No one is born gay but being gay is a decision. So that decision gets no one a special law against discrimination against it. It can be banned yes cause the bill or rights doesn't protect it and so can porn be banned to be only permitted to anyone over 18 yrs old.

What I disagree with is the way that some go about showing that they don't support it or trying to force an entire nation to have the same beliefs. @disasterinflict Well there is the 1st amendment, allowing freedom of speech and the 9th amendment which states The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people. Then the 10th amendment which states that citizen rights are guaranteed by law at the federal and the state level. They do not separate groups out to avoid discrimination. A citizen is a citizen.

Wow. There is a whole lot of pointless anger here. What two consenting, tax paying adults do is their business. It harms no one. Period. If they chose this or not is irrelevant as well, (tho I think homosexuality is a genetic inclination). We choose our religion, our political affiliation, our opinions and many other things. These choices are all protected in this country by law, as should be the rights of these individuals. This means they have a right to PDA just as the rest of us would.

@arricrankin I do agree you should not have been exposed to seeing them engaged in intercourse, and it's understandable that it would effect you negatively. However I don't thinks one's sexual orientation effects their performance in combat. While I do think they shouldn't have sex in shared living quarters, I don't see anything wrong with them serving the country they love. Truth of the matter is, if you were to kick them all out of the military we'd lose a good portion of those serving.

PFC Manning's motivation for his crimes is said to be because he did not like being teased by other soldiers for being a homo, and that is supposedly going to be the basis of his legal defense at his courts martial. Im sorry but i dont agree with gays in the military.. I did 5 years in the army and served oversees.one day me and a few battle buddies walked in on two men having intercorse in one of the group tents in Iraq. I think im a pretty bad ass but this really troubled me. I dont mind that i was exposed to death and warfare because its part of the job.But seeing two gays in action is not something im ok with. I should not have had to see that and dont agree its ok for gays to be in the military.
