Yvette Cooper is bending the truth rather than lying. Retail sales are up on the whole, and in fact in some sectors companies are doing rather well, such as food and budget retail services. Good on Sky News for doing some probing journalism, although why on Earth they think a Labour minister is really going to change their minds on economic predictions two days after the budget is just ridiculous. It would be political suicide for any governing party.
