  • Great video, I'm trying to pluck up the courage to attempt my first sound fit. Please could you advise how you have fixed the bass speaker in the loco? I understand there is already a recess for the speaker, but I don't want to damage the chassis. Thanks.

  • @themacraterror Thanks, You are correct that there is a recess for the speaker. All I did was to wire the speaker up (obviously) and then place it into the recess, it is held down with blu-tack (stops vibrations and buzzing of speaker against chassis) and 4 bits of electrical tape. You may need to tuck any spare bits of wire down the side. Lastly, you will have to remove the fans I'm afraid (only way of doing it without milling the chassis) there are 2 screws holding it into place.

  • nice video please can you tell me how you wired up the two speakers please thanks graham

  • @graham6060 Hi, sorry no this only has one speaker, now in regards to your other question there should be two terminals on the circuit board which say SP+ and SP- , pull off the little black covers to reveal two small metal plates with holes in. Push the speaker wire in through the hole and then push the small black cover back on...it gives a really good connection without the need for soldering.

I am not sure if the older 47 circuit boards are the same, ask me for more help.

  • Superb model, i am thinking of getting one before they sell out.

  • @Mytimekid Thanks. Yeah, it's up to you and I'd say this is way better than a Heljan 47
