I've always stood up for myself as a adult. I think it has to do with not being able to as a kid physically. I was the kid the bullies picked on. My parents didn't believe in violence, so I never learned how to fight, as most boy's do. My folks did teach me manners,and right from wrong. So, I now feel obligated to stand up to my rights and I don't back down even when most say I should. It's just not in me to do otherwise. It get's me noticed more than I want which leads to other problems @times.
i am known to be extremely mousy, but the other day i stood up for a co-worker when we were waiting for a bus. she sent me this song and i was amazed b/c i love DW but had never heard it. She said she never knew it was in me, this song is me to a tee. wonder what other songs of his i don't know about:P

As it happens, I didn't find this song until today, and, seeing your somewhat generalized comment, chose to point out that while perhaps some liberals may be insensitive to the pain suffered b/c of 9/11, others--most--care very much but prefer to show it in other ways than revenge.
Furthermore, if that's the only response you can give, I'm inclined to think you don't have a better argument. Very likely, of course, that's not the case. Who knows;I know I don't have a lot of time to debate. :)

However, if it was terrorists that attacked us, we need to take care of those responsible. In this way, I have to say I agree with the war on those fighting America.
However, I do not think that overthrowing governments needlessly is the job of the US, unless it is totally necessary to keep the country safe.
I am definitely a conservative, but when it comes to this war where the details are foggy, it makes it hard for me to really state opinions.
I wish we could all get along, kind of like we all did after 9/11, and learn to consider others' ideas, but never to abandon what you know to be correct principle.
