The stats are actually the other way around. Texas averages around 124 tornadoes per year and Oklahoma has an average of 53 per year. Oklahoma has more per square mile, but Texas has the most, but it's 5 times the size of Oklahoma. Kansas and Florida also get more per square mile than Texas.

The tour was great! OU is a really great school. I live in Georgia and am fortunate enough to go to college anywhere in the nation, and OU was my first choice.

Great video. You guys (tornadovideosnet) have certainly become popular on the net, and you make decent docs on discovery. I think it would be good (speaking as a professional photographer) to get some window mounts for your cameras etc. The shaking is terrible and you miss some really great opputunities to film :(. I know its intense, but your professionals yes?

ya im in midwest city ok i saw all the bad clouds you were going to get hit by. i was in a tornado last year in midwest city the alarms were going off hail was like baseballs the the clouds were really scary do you remember that.

Not really, March is tornado season and tornaoes can occur in any month

From all I have read April and May are the highest month's statistically. In a typical year the activity trends down in Tornado alley after May EOM. June and July are good months for tornadoes in the north including Canada.

@GOODY61 Gosh getting all technical lol. You're right though I guess I never specified whether it was southern or northern tornado alley I was talking about. April and May is mostly southern tornado alley. Then from June to July it's northern. The Last 2 weeks of May and first 2 of June are probably the best chasing of the entire year.

yeah, my family lives down by evansville, indiana and they had a tornado in november. its was 60 degrees that day so that explains it. tornadoa can happen at anytime, just most likely in the spring and summer months

Wow...less than a month ago we were talking about major snowstorms and in early march we already have damaging tornadoes. That first twister in the start of the video was massive.

What a beginning on the 2010 season, 3 tornado's on one day, what a spectical, lets hope its the starting for more this comming season.

It was sad to say that tornado hits that house and the damage in Hammon, i feel sorry for those people, but thats mother nature, it gives abd it takes.
