  • Wow!

    These pedals look so comfortable

  • you need to make that Bass drum SOUND like a BASS DRUM !!!

  • Those are the click pads you're hearing, sadly. I can't hear the actual bass. :/

  • hey man, nice vid. just curious, how good are those axis kick pedals? do they make a big difference in smoothness and speed? thanks :D

  • dude, sick technique, im trying to get ankle motion with my left, but i just can't get it.. do you have any suggestions? how long did it take to you to get it perfectly?

  • @rr5431 haha thats funny, my problem is that with my left i get too much ankle motion and not enough leg motion, so my strokes gradually get quieter and quieter. getting good at double bass is so damn hard lol

  • What Pedal is this??

  • @Vivek199716

Axis Longboard, AL-2. Using the standard sonic-hammer mallets. Excellent pedals. I have a pair myself and they are MUCH better than the pearl eliminator (highly overrated)

  • I can play most of this, but my $100.00 Mapex single drive chain pedals, will only let me go so fast :(

What should I get for great quality, but a decent price. I don't want to have to spend 600-700 dollars on pedals. Any help?

  • @boxfreak007 and by most of it, i mean about a quarter of it. :P

  • @boxfreak007

Axis longboards. The bay has them used in Mint condition for 4-500 a set. You will love them.

  • @CGJ7755 The Bay? What is that? 4-500 sounds like a very good price!

  • @boxfreak007

ebai. and... yeah they arent a rare commodity... there's like 20 sets, used and new on there at any given time. Ive seen them go in the 300 range. what it comes down to is picking a good pedal you like, and then truly practicing with it every day, you'll get faster.

  • @CGJ7755 Oh right, ebay :P i knew that (Sorta) I know what you mean by practice, even with my cheapos i've gotten good enough to play with some Dream Theater and Symphony X, I'll be sure to try out the axis pedals, thanks!

  • what beaters are u using?! those look sick as fuck :D nice pj's btw :P

  • sonic hammers look funny lol

  • @vinniesfollower that is crazy clean

  • Are those Axis

Like how u use heels up and heels down methods

Just don't like the beaters very much because they dont have much bounce back

    Your better than me though

  • the triplets u play @ 0:59 make me think you should cover the song laceration penetration by thy art is murder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hi, Im stealing your pedals. Kay, thanks :D

  • @PassingPlanetsSUCKS Even if you steal his pedals you probably don't have the skill to use them like he does. So yeah..

  • @asxetos666 Haha, i know lmfao

  • Ae Manolo vc é foda!

  • I wanna be able to do that I'm only starting using double kicks any tips

  • @aatefmagic ah i have mine just about medium not too tight or too loose :P

  • @aatefmagic you can get ones made by aquarian, remo or evans but i think the aquarian one is the best. Just search aquarian kick pad on google they cost about 5-6 pound each

  • @aatefmagic the black oval type thing in the middle? its a bass impact pad. You stick em on to the head where the beater hits and they protect the head and can make a punchier sound

  • it rly does sound like ur usin the trigger that chris adler used on nippon

  • whats the kit?

  • heeyy buddy nice video and control (Y)

can u tell me what Bassdrum head you're using?

  • 1:19-1:40 was so Chris Adler

  • @YouNoob93 i was about to say that D: lol

  • @YouNoob93 Yeah buddy! Heel/toe :D Chris Adler is so amazing

  • Nice. Now show the beginners how to do it with a beginner´s 120 € double pedal :)

  • @gaseabra i know what you mean, but i also have a 120-Euro double >>this video can be played on a lower-grade pedal. have you ever played an axis? i agree its the "Internet Pedal" - ie if you're into double-bass-drum-videos-on-the-internet, then Axis is that expensive-but-u-could-own Grail. the equivalent to a Flying V guitar to guitarists in the 70s. An axis pedal feels so light, I struggle to get the momentum going- in fact they feel glued to your feet. Which is as much a bad thing as a good.

  • what kind of pedals do you use? i use Pacific

  • would like 2 hear more aggressive attack on the snare & cleaner work on hi-hats..Very good foot work...

  • :22 paper falls

    :25 paper is done

    magic....

what kind of pedals are those?

  • @Gr1zz3m Axis. They're definitely the best pedals ever.

  • Comment removed

  • These pedals look EvIL!!

  • I am afraid I hate you, I can`t play a shit of what you can. Awesome

  • at 0:36 i came a little, then at 0:50 i full out orgasmed

  • Some of these stuffs are suposed to be for advanced drummers? Is that a joke?

  • @Blacklorigine sick prick.. the stuff towards the end is good enough for an advanced drummer..

  • sounds sick!

  • Silly paper.. you cant escape the double bass!

  • why would you even presume he had a trigger? open your eyes dude. for real.

  • tits

  • those are nice axis.

  • 1:20 calm down chris adler ;]

  • @MrXAzevedo LOFL

  • Does it help a lot to have actual good pedals? I have some beginner Gibraltars and I'm going to get some new ones for Christmas.

  • Is that a Trick pedal?

  • @dark0hell Nah, those are Axis.

  • 0:50 - looks like you have to become more relaxed when play faster =)

  • Which axis longboards are those?

  • Those are some messy supras. Nice exercises though.

  • nice bass trigger

  • @supermariom1998 No triggers here!

  • @vinniesfollower You can tell theres no Trigger because of the distance between the hammer and the skin. :)

  • @vinniesfollower

uhm.... what are those things on your drumset the heads hit that look like triggers then?

then again ive never seen these kinds of pedals... so idk

  • @vinniesfollower I have the same kick thing for twins on my bass drum head :P

  • @supermariom1998 yes it would be nice if there was a bass trigger but he's decided to play it acoustic

  • @supermariom1998 Stop smoking whatever you are smoking.

  • @supermariom1998 Its the evans black bassdrum pad, it gives that clicky sound. I love it

  • oh my god! what kind of beater is that?!

  • @cyberboi504 sonic beater... heavy as FUCK!

  • with is axis it is more easy :/

  • @Aeckaenarcho

dude, just because you have axis pedasls it doesn´t mean you´re going to be fast as hell.you need to put the effort into it

  • @RapiDEraZeR yea but it is still more easy

  • What kind of drum head do u have and how did u tune it

  • are they the same pedals as chris adler uses?

  • @Boymentation1994

I can answer for him. YES. Chris Adler uses Axis, those are Axis, some of the most OVER PRICED things I've ever seen, but I need some.

  • @Boymentation1994 Chris adler no longer uses Axis pedals but he did for quite some time and now uses Trick V-Pros

  • omg i MUST but an axxis!

  • how the fuck can you afford like $400 kick pedals

  • witch pedal is that?

  • @MimmiPD it looks like an axis al2

  • I would say beginner only, an advanced drummer don't learn anything with this video.

  • did i hear The devil Wears prada? lol

  • it's all about the iron cobras

  • Man,i fraking love your bass drum!Wath did you make to make them sund like tath!!

  • Hey man,how long did it take for you to reach this level? Thanks in advance.

  • woah, you probably should have gotten good with regular pedals before you went to axis. this is very sloppy.

  • How did you get your bass so sound like that?

  • a good way to diddle one foot on bass is to slide foot up while playing its how i do it and its comfortable

  • that's some speed you have there.

  • That very good exercices...But.....ur pedals helps u!! me i have 2 bass drums!! and 2 pedals....The probleme it's that th'r short than urs!! what can i do for Heal-toe??

  • heel-toe pretty much only works with longboard pedals like these Axis AL-2 pedals

  • no i can heel toe on a bunch of shitty cheap pedals at my school and i have a size 13 foot

  • @goatman1121 agreed my foot is size 13 too and I can do heel toe on a lot of pedals that arent longboard pedals

  • @MadSkeletonnnnnnnnnn how man? i cant do it unless i play on llongboards and i dont have them :( message mee

  • @afrofuck i can pull of heel toe on my dw 7000s that i have and im have a size 12 foot you just have to develope your own technique

  • @bounty2444 ya but if you have shit pdeals like mine you can't do heel-toe haha!! mine were like those cheapie $100-pedals...but I'm in the process of gettin new ones :P

  • Do you have to use strong power for rolls on the back part of the pedal? I'm using a sound percussion pedal and it sucks ass for the type of drumming I do, I play death metal.

  • @BleedingAnxiety BleedingAnxiety. I bought the sound percussion dbl pedals from Guitar Center. Thought they were great. I didn't shop around :I went by the customer reviews. played a set of Tama Iron Cobra Jr. pedals and a set of Pearl 902 and DW 4000 pedals one weekend and IMMEDIATELY took the S P pedals back and got a refund. I bought the Pearl pedals because they have a lifetime warrenty and they seem to be made a little better than the Tama and DW pedals that I tried out.

  • @mapquest68 Haha yeah, I actually went to Guitar Center and tryed out some DW5000's and Tama Iron Cobra's. They were amazing, I also liked a set of Demon Drives. They were okay, I really like Axis though as my top favorite. But DW5000 is amazing also.

  • what does the pad thing on the bass drum exactly do?

  • anyone knows how to get that bass drum sound? mine's too much resonating, what should I do? (loosen front head, rear head, cut a hole, or what?)

  • do you have a pad or blanet inside?

  • @makmubotak Try an Evans EMAD 2 on the batter side and an Evans resonant head on the front. Resonant head has a hole already cut in it and a muffle ring that goes around the hole. The EMAD 2 has a dampening ring built in with 3 choices as to how much resonance you want. Check out the Evans website and watch the bass drum tuning video by Bob Gatzen. It made my 24" Pearl kick drum come to life. Cant tell you how much better it sounds.

  • @mapquest68 Ok thanks a lot! first I'll finish off my current batter head :)

  • i have problems in my left foot no power at all... as in the beater barely hits the heads.. any tips

  • @2ra0bid9 tried loosening the string? :L

  • @MIGHTYBOOSHeels its meduim but when i go fast there no power should i still lossen it? i can gallop ang do triplets and quadruplets but can to db rolls

  • work purely on ur left foot like you did with ur right. its what im doing right now since ive only been playing double bass for about 7 months im not that great but im getting some nice power out of my legs at like 165bpm. itll kinda hurt going back and doing 8ths with just ur weak leg but it helped me aloooot with my power and speed since if it wasnt for my left leg id be at like 190bpm

  • Are those Axis pedals really as light as they say?

  • They Trully ARE light, fell like flying on those things :O

  • Yes, they are. I played using them several times at some music store on both electronic and acustic drums set (i play with Pearl Eliminator) and Axis is very weak and powerless. This is good only for triggers or very muted basse drum but those pedals has no kick at all !

  • @doles2222 okee thanks for the info, I play dw 7000 pedals now, maybe upgrade in some time, but I don't buy axis I think. I heard before that they haven't much power.

  • i wish i had those axiz pedals

  • ur shoes untied=D

  • the bass sound sounds awesome. How are those axis pedals? i just got iron cobras, and the way i play and position my feet on the pedal makes the axis pedals look like they would fit my style

  • I have a question for the pesrson who posted this video too: How much power are you putting into your strokes? Effort?

  • Okay, so I've been trying to play double bass for like a year and I can only play like at 120 bpm or something like that. So I need to know: 1. How high should I pick up my leg to gain speed? 2. How hard should I play when I'm going fast? Also I'm using a pdp double pedal.

  • @letsago0 u need to push yourself to play faster. try to keep up with 130bpm for 2weeks its not that much quicker and gradualy build your speed by 10bpm incraments.

  • heel toe isnt nesecasrily HEEL toe... it like a double tap

  • @2ra0bid9 its basically toe-toe with like... assistance on the first stroke. kinda

  • between tama iron cobras and pearl demon drive.. i love tamas alot more....

buti never play doubles bass on axis pedals soo... i wanna try them out before spending money

  • what r faster

these beater or the other axis Ball beaters?

  • hey man where can u buy those things u have put on the bass drum head that are giving it that click?

  • Nice.. But I don't have like 700e to buy long boards.

  • Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick

  • nice stuff but your microtiming sucks

  • most do. thats why i try to avoid going fast, because i get uneven and im kind of a nazi about it.

  • Wonder how tight his springs are .

been fiddling with mine but still havent got it nice yet.

  • can anyone explain the last exercise he did?

    techniques or anything really.

sounds so fucking sweet, I wanna try it out

  • how long is the axis footboard? the longboards.

  • I really like your bass .. What skins and muffling are you using ?

  • hahahah

    sex? lmfao!

  • 0:50 - 0:57

    Sex.

  • @NineNineTwoThree i can go that fast with my 20 year old piece o' shit dixon pedals

  • @MackBruce12 damn, dixon blows too.

  • @NineNineTwoThree that wat i did to ur mom last night

  • @NineNineTwoThree I can't tell if they are triples, or quadruples...

  • what click pad are you using?

  • amazing but ur grandpa wants his pajama trousers back xD jk jk

  • really helpful thnx!!

    nice pedals btw XD

  • I don't think I can do this with gibraltar 6611DB

  • lamb of god fan?

  • i like that on all of his takes he still doesn't bother to tie his shoe

  • Hey man fucking awsome vid your really good :) just curious what settings you have for your pedal, spring tension, beater distance, beater height. im fiddling with mine to try find where im comfortable with them just lookin round at what others are using

  • Axis Longboards are pretty expensive but worth it. My friends has some, they're really nice, and make playing double bass alot easier.

  • Aaaaaaaaah, that is soooooo great!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • holy shitee your damnn good :O

  • Really nice pedal !! i want them but too expensive for now!

  • cool vid i never knew un-tying your laces could create so much speed lol =0

  • shit dude, teach me how to drum, now!

  • LOL XDD

  • are they axis long boreds

  • yes the are axis longBOARDS not Axis Longboreds

  • are those hammers light? they look light

  • actually not at all, thats one of the worst parts about them is that they are heavy as balls but put on some iron cobra beaters and your good

  • 'Just curious what spring tension and beater distance from the head do you use, im stil fine tuning my axis to get used to them, not there yet :D

  • wow!!thats killer:o what protection is that on the bass head??

  • i love that chris adler heel-toe technique. he whips his foot up so far

  • that technique was around for something like 40+ years before mr. adler entered the world of "pop metal"

  • what heads are those

  • because he spent all his money on the pedals :D

  • 0:22 oops! Dropped your paper sir!

  • jaja, and again at 1:10

  • just kick the fucking pedal!

  • nice heel toe technique.

  • Because he is using longboard pedals, he has the ability to go further down the pedal and achieve further leverage. well i believe that may be why.

  • joey sucks big nigger cock

  • nice vid

  • i want sumthing on the normal pedal..haha it seems i cant afford axis...>:)

  • hey wat peadles do you use?? are they axis

  • Comment removed

  • Longboard.
