First off, yes it was a bomb. Best I can tell it was a basic dumb bomb. Possibly a Mark84. But lets not focus on the dropping of the bomb. Lets focus on just how amazing the whole of the video is. I'll admit I don't much care for hurting people, but I try to see this video as being out in the sky. Pulling G's and feeling alive. I am perfectly jealous. I would love to fly in a 'Magic F-18'. I used to hat this damn song because ford kept using it in it's commercials. This video redemed it.

The F-18 was designed to destroy things, and dropping ordnance was one of them. Those that ignore that aspect and admire the plane solely because it does fancy acrobatics are lying to themselves. I strongly doubt the engineers at Boeing had your childhood dreams of 'soaring gracefully with the birds' in mind when designing this airplane. You can be against war, but don't take a weapons platform and turn it into an object it was not intended to be. I say all this with the utmost respect.
