God has given us every tools we need to educate and demonstrate what is needed. In His word we are shown that God hasnt given us the spirit of fear and knowing that there is a great God watching over us is enough to not fear, not only that but as Christians there is nothing to fear we know where we are going if anything does happen.
I understand that you are trying to relate to this generation, but this is not the way to do it. We need to build up the spirit not bring it down. This song in itself talks about demon possession and it allows demons to enter into your sanctuary. Is the word not enough? Isnt God the one that instills the power. Why do you need to use the world to instill something that it doesnt have?
@Phox291 do you go to this church? our Church does things like this because it's fun. we have FUN at our Church. they did it to entertain and to have fun with the youth at the Church.
im 17 and i agree with you. secular music isnt the way too go. if im at church or a church event and i hear a secular song i step out, i cant stand it. there are other ways to send out the same message without having to use worldly things. it may catch attention of youth, but it just makes it seem like its ok to listen to it and its not.

Instead of being scared of the evil of this world, we are instilling in them power in knowing they have christ in them and it is the world that should be scared of them because of the life that is inside of them.

Being a Christ follower is not about set laws (religion) but about a relationship with Christ. Gen 50:20 "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives." That evening there were at least 15 youth who dedicated their lives' to Christ. Isn't that what matters?
