The music atually shows some of the parallels between BSG and requium for a dream. Both are extremely dark, hopeless and dream for the past.
At least in BSG the ending is hopeful.
Excllent vid to show this 5 stars.

Battlestars are definately NOT designed to go atmo. That was the best scene that I've seen out of the show. Not only was it cool, but it says something.
